The Acer ConceptD 7 and 9 models have won at this year's Good Design awards. Unsurprisingly, this is due to their innovative, creator-focused form factors. Acer have also won 2 more of these honors for the Swift 7 and TravelMate P6 laptops.

Acer released its unique-looking ConceptD series earlier this year. They are emphatically aimed at content-creators, particularly as they have been designed to act as virtual canvases at need. This novel form-factor has bagged the ConceptD 7 and 9 variants some of this year's Good Design awards.

Acer may feel that this recent honor may vindicate its goals in the development and marketing of the inaugural ConceptD line. Its main eye-catching feature is probably the Ezel Aero Hinge, which allows one of these laptops' screens to swivel, extend away from or directly overlay their keyboards. They are CNC-cut aluminium components that have been custom-made for these functions.

However, this was not the end of Acer's recognition at the 2019 Good Design Awards. Its Swift 7 and TravelMate P6 models also acquired these titles this year. These notebooks are directed at those who travel, work or do both at the same time.
