HP ZBook 14u G6 laptop review: The mobile workstation has problems with performance
Hewlett Packard's mobile workstation features good input devices and a great display. This is joined by a docking port, good battery life and a Thunderbolt 3 port. There are problems with performance.

The HP ZBook 14u G6 is a sleek, 14-inch mobile workstation. This is the identically constructed successor to the ZBook 14u G5. HP has done some model maintenance here and brought the hardware up-to-date. The laptop is powered by a Core i7-8565U processor and a Radeon Pro WX 3200 graphics core.

There are some shortcomings, however, in terms of performance. Thus, the processor can only deliver its full performance, to a large extent, with single-threaded applications; in multithreaded applications, it falls considerably short of its capabilities. The GPU can only work at full force for a short time. The device is therefore not suitable for gaming-oriented users.

Much more information and metrics can be found in our review of the HP ZBook 14u G6.
