The AMD Ryzen 9 4900H in combination with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 has paid a visit to 3DMark’s Time Spy benchmark as part of an Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA506IV laptop. The result recorded was considerably better than the CPU Score produced by the Ryzen 9 4900H in a Dell G5 15 Special Edition that was tested last month.

An AMD Ryzen 9 4900H APU in an Asus TUF Gaming A15 laptop (FA506IV) has been spotted on 3DMark’s Fire Strike benchmark where it managed a respectable Physics Score of 22,383 points. This put the Ryzen 4000 laptop ahead of most of the devices we have tested with either the Intel Core i9-9980HK or i9-10980HK.

The laptop has already been advertised for pre-order on a UK site for £1,399.99 (US$1,721) and should be available in mid July. There has been some criticism about the laptop’s display, though.

Xiaomi has confirmed the design of the RedmiBook 16 ahead of its official release. Launching tomorrow, the RedmiBook 16 will also support up to 12 hours of battery life from its Ryzen 4000 Renoir processors. A plethora of ports are on board too, as is a fingerprint scanner.

Rumor | Apple's butterfly keyboards might make a controversial return in the future

It has been rumored that Apple is busy working on improving the highly controversial butterfly keyboard that the OEM utilized in laptops such as the MacBook Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Air over the last few years. Although more recent models have been fitted with scissor switch keyboards, it could be that the butterfly keyboard will reappear in the future.

The Windows 10 May 2020 update will have enhanced network diagnostics

Microsoft has announced that the latest stable upgrade to the Windows 10 OS will have an "enhanced" form of Packet Monitor. This is an extensive diagnostic tool that can detect, log and export packet drops in a network. Therefore, it may help the user address discrepancies in their Ethernet configurations.
