MSI GE66: LED strips for extroverted gamers
The GE66 Raider from MSI stands out from the crowd not only visually but also in terms of its components. In addition to the LED strip at the front, the huge battery also attracts potential buyers.

Gamers who don't mind an eye-catching chassis might like the GE66. The 15 inch high-end notebook comes with many lighting elements as well as powerful hardware.

In the case of the 10SFS model we tested, which costs almost 2,700 Euros (~$3090), a Core i9-10980HK and a GeForce RTX 2070 Super are on board. Even in demanding titles this configuration provides enough frames for the FullHD display, which boasts a refresh rate of 240Hz.

Further plus points include the sturdy and compact chassis, the extensive connectivity and the ample battery: 99 Wh show the competition what's up.

The webcam, the speakers and the fan behavior were less convincing. The GE66 gets quite loud under load and sometimes turns up unnecessarily in idle mode.

What other strengths and weaknesses the 15 incher brings to the table, you can find out in the detailed review.

From Monkey Island to Lands of Lore to Doom, everything was gambled that you could get your hands on. I have been working for Notebookcheck since 2009 with focus on high-performance gaming notebooks.
