If the HP Spectre x360 13 seems too small and the HP Spectre x360 15 seems too big, then the upcoming HP Spectre x360 14 might be just right. The new model will be introducing both a 3:2 display aspect ratio and Intel Tiger Lake Core U processor options when it launches later this month.

The 14-inch laptop will have a 1000-nit FHD touchscreen, up to 25 hours of battery life, multiple expansion options, up to a GeForce GTX GPU, and plenty of I/O ports.

Above all, Asus achieves a shorter battery life with the Zephyrus S15's upgrade to current hardware. Despite the better CPU performance, the overall performance hardly has any noticeable effect on gaming performance.

Schenker is pitching the XMG DJ 15 at those who might move around a lot with their laptop, yet need all the I/O they can get - live entertainers included. It packs a host of ports, dual 3.5mm headphone jacks for audio and mics or S/PDIF optical outputs included. It also offers an up to tenth-gen Core i7 processor and 32GB of RAM.

The Surface Laptop Go is here, Microsoft's small form factor laptop. The Go features a 12.4-inch display, a 15 W Ice Lake processor and starts at US$549.99. You may want to skip the entry-level model though, as it comes with just 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Prices rise to US$1,119.99 for 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but this is only available to business customers.

After months of leaks, Lenovo's new 13 inch flagship is here: The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano takes Dell's XPS 13 9310 head on, with Intel Tiger Lake, a 16:10 aspect-ratio screen and a much more lightweight chassis.

The Zephyrus M15's main components bring all the latest computer games smoothly to the 15.6" matte screen (4k, IPS, Pantone certified). Equally nice, the rest of the interior: 2x NVMe-SSD (RAID 0), 16 GB RAM (Dual Channel), Thunderbolt 3.

The next Surface Laptop will be called the Surface Laptop Go, according to a new report. The device will weigh in at around 1.1 kg and will pack a 12.45-inch PixelSense display, along with a 15 W Ice Lake processor. The Surface Laptop Go will be available with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but the US$699.99 entry-level edition must make do with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage.

Microsoft has delayed the release of the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 8, according to a report. The two devices may not arrive until Q1 2021, with Microsoft opting to release an updated version of the Surface Pro X and a budget Surface Laptop, instead.

Lenovo refreshed the ThinkBook 13s with Intel Tiger Lake processors. The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s Gen 2 comes with a 13.3-inch WQXGA IPS panel, up to 8GB of RAM and 1TB of solid-state storage, and a 61Wh battery that can be charged at 65W. It will be available for sale in October 2020, starting at US$829 and US$729 for the Intel and AMD versions.

Lenovo pivots the ThinkBook 15 Gen2 into the 'work from home' market with a novel new feature that significantly improves its versatility as a video conferencing device.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 15p is for the creators with a factory-calibrated display. It takes the design of the slightly smaller ThinkBook 15 but adds a more powerful H-series processor and Nvidia GTX graphics.

Lenovo is offering processor options up to an i7 Tiger Lake for the Intel models or up to a Ryzen 7 4800U for the AMD models. The Intel models are a bit bulkier as they get the best features including up to 40 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, up to 3 TB of storage, an MX450 dGPU option and a Thunderbolt 4 connector. The AMD models, however, are limited to up to 16 GB LPDDR4x-4266 RAM, up to 1 TB storage, and they do not get a dGPU option, but they also are lighter and slimmer.

The ThinkBook 14s Yoga convertibles are lighter and slimmer than previous versions due to the new anodized aluminum chassis. They also come with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass protective layer for the 360-degree touchscreen. Processor options go up to an Intel gen 11 i7 Tiger Lake, which can be coupled with up to 40 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and there is a Thunderbolt 4 connector, as well.

Thunderbolt and good screens were always kept exclusive to the T series among the Lenovo ThinkPad line. This seems to change with the new second gen ThinkPad E14 and E15 with Intel Tiger Lake CPUs, as both are the first E ThinkPads to feature Tiger Lake and at least get optional better screens.

The newly-unveiled ThinkBook 14 Gen 2 can be configured with Intel Tiger Lake and AMD processors. Other features include an FHD IPS/TN display, an Intel Xe/Nvidia MX 450 GPU, Wi-Fi 6 compatibility, and more. The notebooks will be available for purchase in October 2020. Prices start US$569 for the Intel model and US$549 for the AMD variant.

Details on the inaugural digital event RazerCon have been unveiled. This 2020 conference will provide mixed-reality (MR) showcases of new products from the event's host, as well as partners including NVIDIA, Intel and Western Digital. The upcoming GeForce MX450 will bring the biggest gen-to-gen leap in performance for the low-power MX series since the launch of the MX150 back in 2017. Both Intel and AMD are now able to offer GeForce MX150-like performance from more power-efficient integrated GPUs which will push Nvidia to finally incorporate Turing onto its next generation MX400 family.

Avita, an emerging notebook brand, has already launched the Admiror mid-ranger to the US market. Now, it is to be available via UK retailers as well. It is a 14-inch USB type C-only model with an atypical design to match its Flaming Copper or Blazing Brown colorways.

The prominent tipster _rogame_ has found a new entry on UserBenchmark for a laptop with a Tiger Lake Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB hard-drive. The results do not mention an OEM; however, the leaker insists the upcoming device is from Huawei. Therefore, it may be a high-end Matebook of the future.

The pricing of the 12.5-inch Surface Laptop has leaked ahead of the device's expected announcement next month. Apparently Microsoft's budget answer to the regular Surface Laptop series, the 12.5-inch will start at US$699.99 with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a Core i5-1035G1 processor Prices will rise to US$1,199.99, but that Ice Lake CPU will be equipped across all SKUs.

The German OEM ran into incompatibility issues caused by the Vega iGPUs and was unable to fix these problems because Samsung no longer offers engineering support for those particular OLED panels. Schenker/XMG states that the demand for an OLED option is there and we will most likely see AMD-powered laptops with OLED panels in 2021.

While the CPU performance increase seems negligible on the new Ryzen 7 5700U models, the results mustered by the iGPU side certainly suggest that the Lucienne APUs could integrate Vega 11 chips, at least for the top-of-the-line models. These Lucienne APUs may turn out to be AMD's rushed response to Intel's Tiger Lake models that are just a bit faster than the previous AMD Renoir processors.

The PC manufacturer Lenovo is preparing to launch new ThinkPad laptops. For the upcoming launch, Lenovo will host a virtual event on September 29. The event is set to revolve around the ThinkPad X1 series.

AMD's leaked roadmap now shows that the Rembrandt APUs would come in desktop as well as laptop versions with 6 nm Zen 3 cores and RDNA2 iGPUs, plus support for DDR5-5200 / LPDDR5-6400 RAM, a mysterious CVML (computer vision & machine learning) component, 20x PCIe 4 lanes and two USB4 connectors.

Its Core i7 processor is almost 40 percent slower than on the Dell latitude 9510 2-in-1 equipped with the exact same CPU. The deficit can be attributed to the shorter-lived Turbo Boost potential of the HP system.

The Killer brand of networking products has unveiled its latest adapter: one with a USB type C connector at one end and an RJ-45 jack rated for up to 2.5 gigabit Ethernet at the other. Rivet Networks asserts it is the world's first adapter designed for competitive gaming or other high-performance PC tasks in mind.

TSMC surprised everyone when it announced that its 3 nm nodes will not use GAAFET transistors. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese foundries decided to speed up the release of the 2 nm nodes, which will finally adopt the GAAFET design. Still, the N2 nodes will only become operational by mid-2023, allowing Samsung to get the edge with its 3 nm GAAFET nodes by late 2021. Despite this advantage, TSMC is confident that Samsung will not get too many orders for the 3 nm node due to low yields.

HP announced two new mobile thin clients today, both of which can run either Windows 10 IoT or HP's ThinPro OS. The mobile thin clients will feature AMD Ryzen CPUs.

HP has launched AMD Renoir-powered variants of the HP Pavilion 15. It can be configured with an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U or a Ryzen 7 4700U CPU. It uses the onboard Vega iGPU and comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid-state storage. Prices start at US$599 for the base variant on HP's official website and other retail channels.

HP has overhauled the Pavilion 13, the most compact laptop in its Pavilion series. The new machine features Intel Tiger Lake processors, an 84% screen-to-body ratio and a choice of colours. The HP Pavilion 13 starts at US$679.99.

The new HP Pavilion 14 is here with a refreshed design, new processors and in a choice of six colours. The Tiger Lake laptop can be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU too and starts from just US$579.99.

The HP Omen 15 is available for purchase for under 1,250 Euros (~$1,480) and offers good gaming performance in return. In addition, the gaming powerhouse could convince in the test with good battery life.

Microsoft's next Surface Laptop has been spotted on Geekbench with an Intel Core i5-1035G1 and up to 16 GB of RAM. The new model will supposedly be a cheaper answer to the Surface Laptop 3 and may start for as little as US$500. The device will have a 12.5-inch display too, making it slightly smaller than the Surface Pro X.

Intel’s new Tiger Lake Core i7-1185G7 chip has been doing the rounds inside of a reference design laptop, and while the iGPU component of the SoC has had reviewers generally cooing over its ability to play games at acceptable frame rates, it seems the shortage of CPU cores behind rivals such as the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U is still problematic.
