The design of the GE76 Raider hasn't been changed by MSI, so our recently reviewed Raider 11UH looks exactly like its predecessor, the Raider 10UH. Therefore, not only the robust and slightly bulky case has been preserved, but also the number and type of the available ports.
However, the manufacturer has now implemented Thunderbolt 4 for the USB-C port at the back, the lack of which we criticized in the predecessor. Thanks to good maintenance options, two RAM slots and two SSD slots can once again be easily accessed inside the MSI gaming laptop. This makes it possible to expand the RAM and storage later on without issues.
Our test configuration of the GE76 Raider 11UH offers the maximum configuration level, and with its Intel Core i9-11980HK and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, it brings games extremely smoothly onto the built-in screen. With a refresh rate of 360 Hz, the latter is the fastest panel available for the GE76 Raider 11UH, but not the one with the highest resolution.
While the 360 Hz rate is only available with a Full HD resolution, 120 Hz is available for UHD, and 165 as well as 240 Hz are available for QHD. Furthermore, these options themselves are new, as the predecessor was still offered without alternative display options.
As already mentioned, the available gaming performance is very high and definitely competitive. Only in terms of battery life does the MSI laptop score a bit more modestly, but by no means poorly for a high-end gaming laptop.
Our review reveals what the MSI GE76 Raider 11UH has to offer in detail.
