LG has unveiled the 27GR95QE-B, another edition in the UltraGear series. Equipped with a 27-inch OLED panel, the UltraGear 27GR95QE-B combines a 2.5K resolution with a 240 Hz refresh rate, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, among other features.

AOC has introduced the AGON AG275QZ/EU and AGON AG275QZN/EU, two new gaming monitors that fall under the company’s AGON 5 series. Available later this month, the pair combine 240 Hz native refresh rates with 2.5K resolutions and low response times, among other features.

Philips has announced four gaming monitors under its new Evnia brand. Ranging from the Evnia 27M2C5500W at £459.99 to the Evnia 34M2C7600MV at £1,599.99, the series will be available from later this year, although most monitors will not launch until early 2023.

Xiaomi has presented the Redmi X Pro, its first gaming TV. Launching in 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, the Redmi X Pro offers a 4K native resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate and excellent colour accuracy, among other features suited to gamers.

The global smart TV market is estimated to attain just over US$451 billion in value by 2030 in a new market analysis report. 4K/UHD and screen sizes of 65 inches at the least are projected to be the biggest winners in terms of growth over the next eight years. The North American region is thought to contribute a good proportion of this growth until 2027.

YouTube has been running an "experiment" in which the ability to play content back at 2160p, or 4K, on its website would be locked behind its Premium paywall. However, it may have ultimately failed, as it has now officially been cancelled, leaving the setting open to all members once again.

The virtual reality (VR) industry seems to have developed a distinct predilection for OLED as a display material going forward. However, according to an industry blog, Samsung now concludes that augmented reality (AR) has different requirements, and that microLED is a better fit for them. With its 4K/UHD resolution and form-factor, LG's new Smart Monitor 32SQ780S has clearly launched as a challenger to the Samsung M80B. The mini projector supports wireless video streaming via smartphone or PC to be much more versatile than most other projectors in the category. Manual focus comes standard likely to save on costs.

8K displays are barely a thing right now, and 16K is clearly far away, but there is no doubt that the DisplayPort 1.4 standard is not enough for full chroma resolution, especially on ultra-wide monitors. While Nvidia seems reluctant to make the jump to DP 2.0, AMD is now rumored to introduce unannounced DP 2.1 connectors on the upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series.

MSI has expanded its gaming monitor offering with the G322C, a 32-inch example that runs at 1080p. Equipped with a VA panel, the MSI G322C has a 1000R curvature, as well as a 170 Hz refresh rate and fast response times, among other features.

RedMagic is now offering a high-end gaming monitor in China. Equipped with a 4K and 160 Hz panel, the gaming monitor also features Mini LED backlights that deliver up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. RedMagic has included other tantalising features too, like HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C connectivity.

Philips has introduced the 34B1U5600CH, 27B1U5601H and 24B1U5301H, three similar monitors aimed at offering 'a new level of convenience and productivity'. All equipped with KVM switches and webcams, Philips has also included a USB Type-C docking station that can power peripheral devices at up to 100 W.

LG has confirmed pricing for the MAGNIT 4K 136-inch, its massive Smart TV equipped with Micro LEDs. Also available with three Bang & Olufsen speaker bundles, the MAGNIT 4K 136-inch is LG's showcase of what it can do with Micro LED technology.

The Odyssey Ark is a pioneering Samsung monitor in that it is a 55-inch monitor with a pronounced 1000R curvature and an imposing portrait mode. It has now arrived on the OEM's Indian webstore, bringing its height-adjustable (or HAS) stand and 165Hz refresh rate with it. Toshiba TV has launched its latest M550K variant as a new 4K TV touted to go beyond "conventional LED" in terms of image reproduction, color-accuracy, depth and sharpness. The OEM asserts that the user will thus be able to "say goodbye to dull pictures and blurry screen images" with this upcoming big screen. It will ship with in-built REGZA Audio Power Pro speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos for "heart-shaking sound".

The Samsung QN100B Neo QLED TV offers 5,000 nits of brightness, double what most conventional TVs can achieve. Equipped with a 98-inch, 14-bit and mini LED panel, the Samsung QN100B Neo QLED TV also has a 120 W speaker system, a 4K native resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Huawei has announced a new Smart TV in China aimed at gamers. Billed as the Vision Smart Screen Z65 Gaming Edition, the Smart TV has a 4K native resolution, a 120 Hz panel, a 50 W Devialet sound system and HDMI 2.1 connectivity, among other things.

LG has unveiled the latest addition to its MAGNIT series of TVs for high-end home media rooms at CEDIA Expo 2022. This new 4K variant will add a 136-inch form-factor to its line of super-sized micro-LED panels, and is rated to pack the processing power and AI rated to tailor its output to the type or genre of media to be displayed, from movies to NFTs.

LG has announced US-market pricing and availability for some of its most unique new TVs at CEDIA Expo 2022. They include the OLED Flex, the first 42-inch display that can convert between flat and curved modes. The Innocn 27M2U is one of the least expensive 27-inch professional monitors you can find if you want the 4K native resolution, mini LED backlighting, and deep DCI-P3 colors. Can the monitor actually live up to all the claims?

Dell has pivoted to making cheaper QD-OLED gaming monitors. Starting with the Alienware AW3423DWF, the shift brings QD-OLED panels for a US$1,099 price point, US$200 more affordable than the current Alienware AW3423DW.

AOC has introduced the AG275QX/EU and AG275QXN/EU, two AGON 5th generation gaming monitors with IPS and VA panels, respectively. Offering 165 Hz refresh rates and QHD resolutions, the pair also deliver 1 ms response times with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity.

ASRock has introduced the PG34WQ15R2B, a curved gaming monitor that is already available for US$429.99 in the US. Offering 91% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and a 165 Hz refresh rate, the PG34WQ15R2B also delivers up to 550 cd/m² of typical peak brightness, among other features.

Xiaomi has started selling the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 in China, where it sells for a particularly affordable price. Equipped with a 23.8-inch panel, the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 operates natively at 1080p with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response times (MPRT).

The 1080p IPS monitor promises HDR, Freesync, 2.5 W stereo speakers, and even 99 percent sRGB coverage to turn your XBox Series S into a quasi portable gaming console.

Samsung has unveiled the Odyssey OLED G8, a high-end curved gaming monitor that will be available later this year. Equipped with a 34-inch OLED panel, the Odyssey OLED G8 has a QHD resolution, an 1800R curvature and a 175 Hz refresh rate, among other features. AMD FreeSync Premium support is also onboard to ensure smooth gameplay on current-generation graphics cards or PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles.

The ThinkVision S25e-30 is Lenovo's latest 24.5-inch FHD monitor. It has a starting price in line with its HDMI 1.4 spec; nevertheless, it has launched with the same new, red-accented design of its higher-end siblings that integrates its own joystick for easier physical control. It also benefits from potentially realistic color reproduction and a faster-than-average refresh rate.

The ThinkVision T34w-30 features a 21:9 VA LCD panel with 3440 x 1440 resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate. Besides the usual video outputs like HDMI 2.0, DP 1.4 and a USB-C 3.2 with DP 1.4 mode, this model also features a USB hub with 4X USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a GbE jack.
