Amphenol has confirmed that a new GPU power connector standard is on its way, replacing conventional 8-pin and 12-pin ones. The 12VHPWR will be capable of delivering up to 600 W to next-generation GPUs too, possibly starting with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
