Higher than expected Google Pixel 6 US price tag accidentally leaked as Pixel 6 Pro price prediction follows
With the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch looming on the horizon, it’s no surprise there are leaks coming in at a more rapid pace. Just as we have reported about the leaked service manuals for both handsets, we now have a leak concerning the potential price tag of the regular Pixel 6 in the US, which in this case is set at US$850 (equivalent of €734/£622).
A source claimed last month that the US price for the Google Pixel 6 would be from US$749, so presuming the price above is rounded up from US$849, this is a considerable US$100 mark-up. Unfortunately, the source of this latest price tag doesn’t mention which configuration is involved, so it is possible that the more-expensive Pixel 6 has a larger storage capacity.
A later revision of the sweepstakes T&Cs states “Five (5) winners will each receive a Google Pixel 6, retail version (pricing TBA)”, so there could still be some price tinkering yet. The source of this leak, This Is Tech Today, also offered up a price prediction for the Google Pixel 6 Pro after revealing this sweepstakes-related tidbit, plumping for a starting price of US$1,099 (€949/£805).
