Pixel Pass monthly subscription service with regular device upgrades and YouTube Premium arrives in time for the Google Pixel 6
The Pixel-related leaks keep on coming, with details of a Google Pixel Pass monthly subscription service now emerging. Thanks to self-confessed “Pixel superfan” Michael Brown, it has now been revealed that Google has this Pixel Pass plan in the works that could help tie users closer to the company and its various services. A handy poster has been produced that details Pixel Pass step by step (see image below).
It appears the Google Pixel Pass bundle will incorporate a Pixel phone (handy for the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro), with the promise of regular updates also attached. As well as the device, subscribers get full access to Google One, Play Pass, YouTube Premium, and Google Fi network coverage. Last but not least, Pixel Pass holders will enjoy an extension on their device warranty. It's basically Google's take on the Apple One service.
The package certainly sounds attractive for would-be Pixel owners, with the Pixel Pass apparently headed for both Google Fi’s phone plans and the Google Store for those who want to sign up. Obviously, a new Pixel device has to be purchased but trade-in options for older Pixels will be available. The exact release date for Pixel Pass hasn’t been leaked, but it does seem more than likely it will arrive in time for the Google Pixel 6 launch (expected October 19).
