Reviews for the Huawei MatePad 11 2021

88.4% Huawei MatePad 11 Review - Great tablet with few weaknesses | Notebookcheck
The Huawei MatePad 11 is a very capable mid-range tablet that supports pen input. Furthermore, the slate can be paired with a keyboard. The MatePad 11 comes with Harmony OS and without Google Services. In day-to-day use, this proved to be less limiting than we expected.

The Huawei MatePad 11 comes with top specs, a fairly long-lasting battery and a great-looking screen, making it a worthy Android-alike tablet. Its low price will appeal, too, in particular to students looking for a tool for work and play. However, the app situation is an issue, due to Huawei's problems in that area, and while lots of popular apps are available, there are still a few key ones that aren't, or don't work properly.

80% Huawei MatePad 11 (2021) Review: Ideal Tablet Size & Design
Source: Android Headlines English
The bottom line is… the Huawei MatePad 11 is an excellent tablet. It’s just the right size, unlike the MatePad Pro 12.6, which is a bit too large in my opinion. This tablet is really comfortable to use, and you’re getting plenty of screen real estate. The build is top notch, while the speakers are excellent. The performance is also great. Don’t count on using those cameras and getting good results, though, while the software is good, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re dependent on Google, this is definitely not a tablet for you. If you can live without its apps / services, the MatePad 11 (2021) is a tablet you should consider getting.

94% Huawei MatePad 11 review: Testing the first HarmonyOS tablet
Source: Root Nation English
In conclusion, Huawei has managed to make a good mid-range device. In this case, the flagship model (MatePad Pro) is not radically different from the non-flagship model. This is not to say that users are deprived of something critical, and the difference in price is pleasant. The screen is IPS, not AMOLED, but still good, there is one camera instead of two, the processor is weaker, but still good enough. Really, we can congratulate Huawei on a good start and look forward to the success of the new tablets on the market. The most important thing is how users will receive them. Share your impressions!

The Huawei MatePad 11 with Android 11 or 12 on it would have been a wonderful option for those that like this form factor, if only it were possible. But with HarmonyOS 2.0 on it instead, this device isn’t yet a serious alternative to the substantial Google infrastructure. Those that don’t like Google probably have iPads already, and relatively few in the West would choose Huawei over Google or Apple. HarmonyOS might well carve out a successful future in China, but for westerners it cannot replicate why Android became so successful and continues to be the most prolific mobile platform on the planet. That’s a real shame because the hardware Huawei created here is excellent.

Huawei MatePad 11 review - Premium 11-inch tablet for the midrange
Source: Tech Nave English
Coming in at RM1999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage MatePad 11, the hardware is high level enough to replace certain laptops and there are no contenders with exactly the same features at the moment. However, if you're looking for similar alternatives, there is the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite which also offers S Pen Stylus support with a 10.4-inch 2K display but it offers a more midrange Exynos 9611 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage for RM1699. There are also the recently announced Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro tablets which offer similar features for less at around RM1307 but it's still not confirmed how much they would actually be priced here in Malaysia just yet. So, would you be interested in getting the Huawei MatePad 11 to go with your brand new Huawei MateBook D15? Huawei MatePad 11 2021 Quick Review Philippines: Mid-range Tab
Source: Unbox English
The Huawei MatePad 11 (2021) certainly fills the need for a mid-range tablet that’s not made by Apple in the Philippines. There’s still the question about app availability of course, though the good news is that there are even more apps available nowadays through Huawei’s AppGallery than ever before.

78% Huawei MatePad 11 (2021) review
Source: GSM Arena English
Huawei's MatePad 11 is a solid all-rounder and offers high-end features and experience for a reasonable €400-500 price tag, depending on the region and storage variant. It has a bright high-refresh-rate display, good battery life, excellent accessory support, powerful SoC and four nice-sounding loudspeakers.

80% Huawei MatePad 11 review – Sweet slate with performance dialled to 11
Source: Hitech Century English
The Huawei MatePad 11 is a well specced tablet with a smooth 120Hz display and a fair price tag for what you pay for that’s ideal for everyday use, light paperwork duties and content consumption. What elevates it over a standard issue slate is the fact that it can act as a screen extension in tandem with a Huawei MateBook laptop which makes it useful for mobile workers and those working from home. The lack of Google is irksome to overcome but Huawei has made significant inroads in making the tablet effective with a slew of apps useful for Malaysians. If you’re not tied into Google’s services, the MatePad 11 is well worth a look.

Hands on: Huawei MatePad 11 review
Source: Techradar English
We were pleasantly surprised by the Huawei MatePad 11, because unlike some other Huawei devices from the past few years, we could generally use it as our regular workstation. It has loads of apps, a good-looking screen, a powerful processor and a long-lasting battery. That’s not to say it’s perfect, and the lack of paid apps, aforementioned software issues and slow charging were irritating. As we said, we tried to write this review on the tablet and couldn’t, though depending on the apps you use, you might not find the issues we did. We also can’t write a final verdict until we know how much the MatePad costs, and therefore what value-for-money proposition Huawei is making.

Qualcomm Adreno 650: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 640 in the Snapdragon 855 SoC and offers 50% more compute units (ALUs). For Android it should be one of the fastest graphics cards in 2020.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

SD 865: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2019 and manufactured in 7 nm at TSMC (improved N7P). Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a ARM Cortex-A77 architecture clocked at up to 2.84 GHz. Three more performance cores are also based on the A77 but clock up to 2.42 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 6 modem (including 60 GHz mmWave support), a Hexagon 698 DSP (up to 15 TOPS) and a Spectra 480 ISP. The integrated memory controller now supports faster LPDDR5 memory with up to 2,750 MHz. LTE is not included anymore in the SoC, but the external Snapdragon X55 5G modem has to be used.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

10.95":

This is a typical display size for tablets and small convertibles.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

0.485 kg:

This is pretty heavy for a smartphone. Usually, small tablets weigh as much.

Huawei: Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Chinese company founded in 1987 with focus on telecommunications hardware and 170000 employees. In the first quarter of 2016, Huawei had a market share of 8.2% in the smartphone market, making it the third-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Compared to the same quarter of 2015, Huawei increased its market share by more than 58%.
In 2014, Huawei created the sub brand Honor and offers certain smartphone series under this name. The name Huawei is usually not listed for these products.
There are a lot of reviews on Huawei phones with slightly above average ratings (as of 2016).

78.78%: This rating is not convincing. The laptop is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
