BenQ has launched the EW2880U, a new 4K monitor. The monitor relies on a 28-inch IPS panel that tops out at 60 Hz and 300 nits. Additionally, BenQ claims that the monitor offers a 1,000:1 native contrast ratio, 5 ms GtG response times and HDR10 support.
Supposedly, the monitor covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour space, making it reasonably colour accurate. BenQ has integrated its flicker-free, low blue light, Brightness Intelligence Plus (B.I.+) and ePaper technologies too, along with AMD FreeSync support.
Moreover, the BenQ EW2880U contains two HDMI 2.0 ports, a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and dual 3 W speakers. Surprisingly, BenQ has included a USB Type-C port as well that supports USB Power Delivery at up to 60 W and DisplayPort Alt Mode.
BenQ is yet to announce how much the EW2880U will cost, nor when it will be available. However, the company has published the monitor on several of its websites, so it should eventually be available in multiple countries.
