Ubisoft is back! After quite a troublesome time, both for the developer as a whole, as well as for the latest instalment in the series individually we have finally been able to get our hands on Assassin's Creed shadows. We played a couple of hour of the massive open-world action RPG, set in 16th century japan and tested several systems, so you can get an idea how the game will run on your hardware, and if its worth to pick up.

This much can be revealed at this point: The top positions are held by both popular favorites and some unexpected candidates.

Lenovo's super, portable and well-featured laptop might carry the ThinkPad name (and pricetag) but considering the missing trackpoint, is this even allowed? If you can free yourself from certain expectations that came with the company's bread and butter business notebooks, though, the ThinkPad X9-15 is simply a great mobile computing companion.

Interview At MWC 2025, Notebookcheck had the exclusive opportunity to interview Tom Butler, the executive director responsible for Lenovo's lineup of commercial ThinkPad laptops. We spoke with him about the ThinkPad TrackPoint and the new ThinkPad X9, as well as laptop naming and repairability.
