Razer's Blade 14 2024 was one of the fastest 14-inch gamers and the new 2025 model is an improvement, but the performance crown is left unchallenged for the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, which can be equipped with the RTX 5080 Laptop.

This model only comes with 16 GB LPDDR5-8533 RAM, does not include a stylus and the 1920 x 1200 OLED touchscreen is limited to 60 Hz refresh rate. However, there are some premium features that still recommend it, like the efficient Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor with integrated Arc Graphics 140V GPU, a speedy 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, microSD card reader and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

Microsoft's new 12-inch Surface Pro is a pretty unique convertible right now, because the Snapdragon X Plus SoC is cooled passively and still offers sufficient performance for everyday use. The battery runtime is also good, but the small convertible with accessories is rather expensive.

TP-Link's latest WiFi 7 router is IP68 certified and therefore completely waterproof. This makes the it ideal for extending a wireless network across a spacious outdoor area, at speeds of up to 9,335 Mbps.

With multiple 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7 and software that includes Docker, Tailscale, Wireguard and Adblock, the GL-iNet Flint 3 will give even the best routers a run for their money at a significantly reduced price.

Microsoft launched the new Surface Laptop 13, even though you could also call it Surface Laptop Go 4. The RRP is comparable to the much better Surface Laptop 13.8, only the battery runtime of the new 13-inch model is superior. We don't know how Microsoft wants to sell the new device.

If you want the fastest 14-inch gamer right now, there is no way around the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14. While rivals including the Razer Blade 14 only offer the RTX 5070 Laptop, Asus also offers the two significantly faster GPU options RTX 5070 Ti Laptop as well as RTX 5080 Laptop.

A normal work day spans eight hours - the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with Intel Lunar Lake lasts 21 hours. With the great efficiency of the Intel platform, Lunar Lake turns out to be the best choice for business laptops.

Nokia asserts that its latest gateway devices can bring Wi-Fi 7 to the masses. They are rated to deliver speeds of up to 9.4 gigabits per second (Gb/s) in the Beacon 9, which also comes with an up-to-date streamlined design. Its Beacon 4 sibling is touted to launch at an entry-level cost with the same dual LAN ports.

It’s a well known fact that many smartphones don’t come with a charger included in the box. Microsoft is now following suit and ships the new Surface Laptop 13 and Surface Pro 12 without a suitable power adapter, at least in Europe.

All the prototype mini PCs presented at Thermalright's Computex booth feature custom compact liquid coolers, cases with some CNC-ed parts and a frontal display with relevant metrics. The demoed model is equipped with AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 APU and pricing is said to be lower or matching offers from existing mini PC makers like Minisforum.

Besides the Core 7 Ultra 256V processor with Arc 140V iGPU, highlights for this model include a 14-inch 1920 x 1200 OLED touchscreen, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, Thunderbolt 4 port, microSD card reader and Wi-Fi 7 + BT 5.4 wireless connectivity. RAM is limited to 16 GB on-package, yet it features blazing fast LPDDR5X-8533 speeds.

Lenovo has made significant improvements to its display technology, and the current 2.8K OLED models with 120 Hz and brightness levels of more than 1,000 nits are very good. The Yoga Slim 7 14 G10 is no exception here, but the creaky case is extremely annoying.

The Acer Aspire A14 AI lineup is adding Qualcomm's latest budget-friendly Snapdragon X SoC to its roster in addition to Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 300 chips. The Snapdragon X-powered Aspire A14 AI does not offer an OLED option but comes with a QHD webcam, USB4, and a 28-hour run time promise.

Acer is introducing several new Aspire A14 AI SKUs at Computex 2025 featuring Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Ryzen AI Krackan Point processors. The new Aspire A14 AI laptops feature an aluminum build and can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM along with an OLED display option.

Asus currently has the fastest compact gaming laptop on offer in the form of the ROG Zephyrus G14, but the lack of an RTX 5090 is still a disappointment. Can Razer match or perhaps even overtake Asus with the new Blade 14?

MediaTek asserts that its latest chipset for fixed wireless access (FWA) or mobile broadband equipment can support upload speeds of up to 2.8 gigabits per second (Gb/s) over sub-6GHz 5G it does connect with. The T930 also boasts multiple "world-first" technologies such as 8Rx for up to 40% stronger signals compared to the previous generation, and might be compatible with Wi-Fi 8 devices as well as those with Wi-Fi 7.

Other premium features include the powerful Arc 140T iGPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 RAM, and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity, dual Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a microSD card reader.

Our review unit of the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 14AKP10 costs just €1,000, not that much for a convertible laptop with a pen and a Ryzen AI 7 CPU. There is a variant of it that costs even less, but buyers should stay clear of this cheaper configuration.

The new Asus ROG Strix G16 is a fast gaming notebook with an RTX 5080 Laptop, which is an excellent match for the native QHD resolution of its matte IPS panel. However, the 5080 Laptop is only available in combination with the Core Ultra 9 275HX. The faster Ryzen 9 9955HX, on the other hand, has to make do with the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop.

Along with a Ryzen AI 5 340 APU, Dell is offering 16 GB LPDDR5-7500 RAM, a 512 GB SSD and Wi-Fi 7 for the $800 base configuration, but there are more expensive variants featuring the Ryzen AI 7 350 and a 1 TB SSD.

Alleviating fears of delays, the Razer Blade 16 is finally available. US buyers can choose from several configurations with RTX 50-series GPUs. Notebookcheck's review concluded that the slimmer gaming laptop doesn't sacrifice performance.

Lenovo upgrades its most expensive ThinkPad laptop series with more performance. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition will soon be available with Intel Arrow Lake H and Arrow Lake U in addition to the existing Lunar Lake options.

The new Intel version of the Surface Pro convertible is not really interesting for private users due to the high price, but this problem is artificially created by Microsoft. This will damage the reputation of its own products and the company will eventually lose customers.

Lenovo's 2025 ThinkPads with AMD CPUs are limited to the eight core versions of Zen5 - at least until now. A product listing on Lenovo's Malaysian website suggests that we may soon see the first AMD ThinkPad with twelve CPU cores in the form of the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD, as it is said to feature the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370.

Lenovo offers a wide product lineup and it is not easy always easy to find the right device. It is even more complicated when you have two very similar products like the two 14-convertibles we just tested, where the less expensive Yoga 7 is actually better than the Yoga 9 in some respects.

This year, Razer uses a significantly slimmer case in the Blade 16, even though this requires compromises in some places. The new model looks a bit like a downgrade overall.
