Note: The switch to a new rating system took place in June 2024. In the new v8 rating, existing criteria were adapted to current hardware developments, new points were added and individual measurement methods were changed. As a result, the v8 ratings are slightly lower than under v7. The new v8 rating is not directly comparable with previous versions. For this reason, we are listing two tables with the best devices according to v7 and v8 rating here for the time being. Further information on the new v8 rating can be found here.

1st place - Asus ProArt P16
The Asus ProArt P16 is a well-equipped notebook alongside the 13.3-inch convertible ProArt PX13 and is ideal for content creators. With its 12 native computing units, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 offers plenty of computing power for all conceivable scenarios. In addition, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop is installed, which also has no major problems with modern games. Asus packs everything together in a very high-quality aluminum housing. The true-color 4K OLED display underpins the professional use for which the device is designed. In addition to the great input devices, the Asus ProArt P16 also has 64 GB RAM and is also equipped with the latest Wi-Fi standard (Wi-Fi 7). A disadvantage is the soldered RAM, which unfortunately cannot be upgraded. Asus also charges a huge premium for the model with 64 GB RAM.
With the ProArt P16, Asus offers a relatively lightweight powerhouse for creative users. In terms of price, however, you have to dig deep into your pockets.
The new ProArt P16 can be configured and ordered directly from Asus.

2nd place - Schenker XMG Evo 14
The Schenker Evo 14 is a lightweight 14-inch notebook and delivers excellent performance based on the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS. However, it does not have a dedicated graphics card. Nevertheless, the AMD Radeon 780M has often been able to show off its good performance. In this combination, the Schenker Evo 14 does not present an impossible task for light gaming. 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD are just as much a part of the equipment as the high-resolution 14-inch display in 16:10 format. The strengths also include the high-quality aluminum casing as well as many external connections and a good keyboard. The battery runtimes are also impressive and overall, the Schenker Evo 14 can secure a good place in our top 10 list.
The Schenker Evo 14 is a great multimedia device and at the same time a solid all-round device with a good price-performance ratio.

3rd place - Asus Zenbook S16
As a lightweight and thin multimedia notebook Asus has presented the Zenbook S16 with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Based on the new SoC, there are not only more native computer cores, but also a slightly more powerful iGPU with the AMD Radeon 890M. Asus also installs 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM, which also means that this cannot be expanded. The 16-inch display offers rich colors, which is not surprising given the OLED technology. The Asus Zenbook S16 didn't make any significant mistakes in the test, which earned the notebook a good place in our top 10 list. The advantages include excellent system performance, a good range of connections, a comfortable keyboard and long battery life. The disadvantages are the RAM, which cannot be expanded. The actually great display is also not convincing in terms of PWM.

The device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H, which gets a significantly more powerful iGPU with the revised Intel Arc 8-Core. The device itself has a very high-quality finish and also relies on a lightweight yet very stable material thanks to aluminum. The great IPS panel with 240 Hz and without PWM, which is also installed in 16:10 format, deserves a positive mention. Overall, the Schenker XMG Evo 15 delivers outstanding system performance and is future-proof thanks to its modern interfaces.
The Schenker XMG Evo 15 is lightweight yet offers impressive performance and is available with both Intel and AMD processors.
The new Schenker XMG Evo 15 (M24) can now be ordered from Bestware. The AMD model starts at 1,049 euros, the Intel version at 1,199 euros.

5th place - Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 combines an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU, making it a good multimedia device. Fast RAM with 7,467 MT/s and a 1 TB SSD are installed in the 16-inch device. Lenovo relies on an OLED panel for the built-in display, which ensures great color reproduction. In terms of resolution, however, the display cannot quite keep up with the competition. Although it is a 16-inch notebook, the dimensions are compact. However, the maintenance options are clearly limited.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 delivers more performance than you would expect at first glance. The 90 WGeForce RTX 4050 GPU is the real highlight of the multimedia laptop.
Only Costco is now offering the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 with the Core Ultra 9 185H configuration and the RTX 4050 for 1,500 US dollars (1,400 euros).

With AMD's latest Strix Point processors, the Asus ZenBook S 16 OLED is ready for anything. Specifically, it is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365, which offers 10 native computing cores. The iGPU has also been revised and now goes by the name of AMD Radeon 880M. However, it cannot handle demanding titles. The built-in OLD display, which is very high-contrast and true to color, is outstanding. However, like most OLED panels, the surface is very reflective. The workmanship is flawless and the weight of the Asus ZenBook S 16 OLED is also kept within limits. The connectivity, which offers many options with two USB4 ports, deserves a positive mention.
The Asus ZenBook S 16 OLED is a great device with a great display. The good connectivity offers almost limitless application possibilities.

Compared to the widely used AMD or Intel processors, the ARM processor still has some difficulties when it comes to gaming.
