Deal | 95% positive: 2026 Wild West shooter hits new all-time low in Steam sale

Far Far West is a chaotic co-op shooter that puts a wild spin on the Wild West. Instead of classic gunslingers, players step into the metal bodies of robot cowboys who carry out bounty missions for the local sheriff. The game only entered Early Access in April 2026, which the developers say is expected to last around 12 months. The Wild West shooter is currently celebrating its first 20% discount on Steam, bringing the regular price down from around $20 to $16.
In terms of gameplay, Far Far West focuses on fast-paced PvE combat – but not just with revolvers and shotguns, as magic also plays a major role. Players can dash and jump, combine spells and customize their playstyle through weapons and perks. There are no fixed classes: Players can specialize in headshots, high spell damage or healing, for example. Between missions, weapons, spells and abilities can be upgraded in town. A robotic horse is also available for getting around the larger maps. More details on the gameplay can be found in our Far Far West launch article.

German gaming magazine Gamereactor tested the Wild West shooter and particularly praised the fast and precise gunplay as well as the numerous ways to combine weapons, spells and perks into custom builds. In addition to some technical issues, criticism was mainly directed at the progression, which reportedly becomes increasingly sluggish as the game goes on. Overall, however, the game still earned 8 out of 10 points. Steam players also seem to be enjoying the game: 95% of the more than 36,000 reviews are positive. The game is also Steam Deck Verified, making the current discount an interesting offer for shooter fans overall.
