During the Middle Ages in Europe, the Black Death and the Hundred Years' War caused chaos. It is against this historical backdrop that A Plague Tale: Innocence takes place. Developed by Asobo Studio, you'll follow Amicia de Rune and her brother Hugo in a dark world full of dangers. 

In France, in 1348, your goal is to protect your sick little brother from the Inquisition, which is hunting him down. The game is played from a third-person perspective, and you'll have to travel through different landscapes and villages while staying hidden. Indeed, you must not be spotted by soldiers, as they will not hesitate to attack you. 

However, they aren't the only danger in this world. Swarms of rats roam everywhere, spreading the Black Death. To protect yourself from them, you'll need to use your sling to create distractions. Fire can also be used to keep the rats at bay.

To increase your chances of survival, you can also join forces with other children you encounter along the way or in villages devastated by the disease.

Players have praised the game’s story and its various twists and turns. In addition, although it was released on May 14, 2019, players still praise its graphics and lighting. Nevertheless, like any game, it has a few flaws, such as invisible walls, criticized enemy AI, and repetitive mechanics.
