Developed by Techland, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is an FPS set in the Wild West in which you'll have to face numerous enemies and defeat legendary figures from that era. And currently, it is available for less than $3 on Steam.

The Wild West was a period in history during which many people made their mark. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger invites you to track down and face these legends in a story full of twists and action. And according to SteamDB, its price has dropped from $14.99 to $2.99 through September 17, 2026.

You play as a bounty hunter named Silas Greaves, who also serves as the narrator, and your goal is to find Roscoe "Rustling Bob" Bryant. The game follows Silas Greaves’ memories, and to complete your missions, you’ll venture into various environments, such as a saloon and a gold mine.

During your journey, you’ll also face some of the most dangerous outlaws in history, such as the Dalton Gang, Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and Pat Garrett. To defeat them in duels, you’ll need to master various revolvers and rifles, have good timing, and adjust your aim. As for other enemies, you can use devastating combos, slow down time, and spend skill points to gain an advantage.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger was released on May 22, 2013. However, while the graphics are dated, many players still enjoyed the game. The gameplay is also easy to learn, even if some mechanics are complex to master, such as duels. It also offers replay value, allowing players to complete new objectives.

However, bugs have been reported at various points in the game or when launching it. In addition, the gameplay and its mechanics seem repetitive. At the time of writing, 94% of the 44,244 reviews on Steam are positive. On Metacritic, it received a Metascore of 79 and a user score of 8.1.
