LG intends to release its new mid-range smartphones, the W series, as Amazon exclusives in India. However, one variant of this series, the W10, has allegedly surfaced on the Android Enterprise database. It shows that the phone may have 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and run Android 9.0 (Pie).

PCI-SIG has announced the specifications for the PCIe 6.0 standard even as PCIe 4.0 devices are yet to become available in the market. PCIe 6.0 will offer double the bandwidth of PCIe 5.0 and uses a PAM-4 signal modulation technique to allow for increased data transfer in the same amount of time. PCIe 6.0 will continue to be backward-compatible with all existing PCIe standards and is expected to land in 2021.

Lyrics site Genius has accused Google of displaying its lyrics in search information panels thereby leading to drop in site traffic. Genius uses a unique apostrophe formatting embedded in its lyrics and says that it has evidence that Google is directly lifting lyrics from the site. Google, however, said that lyrics in search information panels are supplied by licensing partners and that it will review existing agreements to ensure good practices were upheld.

The Huawei Mate X has reportedly appeared as a retail item on a Chinese retail site. This is highly suspicious, however, particularly as the OEM has announced that this foldable phone's launch will now be delayed. Innodisk's Fire Shield SSD(TM) has reportedly been developed to withstand extreme temperatures. The Dell XPS 15 7590 laptop is getting closer to finally being in the eager hands of expectant buyers. Facebook is preparing to launch its own digital currency named GlobalCoin, which will enable almost 2 billion users to make fast payments for the items sold through Facebook Marketplace. GlobalCoin will be fully integrated with WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, and Facebook also intends to implement physical ATM machines to exchange fiat in person.

Sony's latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1, started sales in the US for a price of US$949. It is also available in the EU and UK. Now, it has also been released in China, where it retails for a price translating to about $912.
