Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will use new silicon anode technology from Sila in an extended-range version of its G-Class EV. The material has a high energy density and will be manufactured at the company's Washington state facility. The new G-class with the Sila batteries is planned for release in 2025.

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled an all-electric concept sports car, the Vision AMG. The car is built on the AMG.EA platform, which is due to be released in 2025.
