HMD Global is now selling the Nokia T21 after introducing the tablet in September at IFA 2022. While the tablet remains unchanged from its debut over three months ago, HMD Global has decided to raise prices, with the Nokia T21 no longer starting at €219.

Black Friday 2022 might be over, but the deals are still going on at Lenovo's US store online. They include discounts of 60% or more on certain ThinkPads, even a SKU of the X1 Carbon Gen 10. The AMD-based Yoga 6 is also nearly 40% off, whereas the Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 is about to drop to under US$300 imminently.

The second version of Lenovo's versatile multimedia and productivity tablet offers quite a few improvements over its predecessor. The refresh rate has increased from 60 to 120 Hz, the OLED QHD display is now almost twice as bright, and updates are guaranteed up to Android 14. The tablet can also be used as a notebook via the special desktop mode.

The iPad 2022 presents itself looking like the iPad Air and also gets closer to it in terms of its price. However, the technical progress remains within limits, and the new USB port also creates some problems for the user.

OPPO is now tipped to launch a new Android tablet in conjunction with its next-gen top-end Find X6-series smartphones. According to new reports, Samsung is preparing to release a new 'Fan Edition' tablet. Billed as being part of the Galaxy Tab S8 series, the tablet utilises a weaker processor than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, as well as a cheaper display, among other changes.

Sony has announced that the image sensors usually known as the IMX line are to be released under a new brand name going forward. The OEM believes that the new LYTIA moniker will reflect the quality and experience it aims to confer on its CMOS for the cameras found in the mobile devices of the near future. Its release may or may not coincide with the 20-year anniversary of Sony's presence in this business coming up in 2023.

Onyx BOOX has announced the Tab10, an Android tablet with an E-Ink display. One of many devices that the company has launched this month, the Onyx BOOX Tab10 arrives in China first for CNY 3,580 (~US$500).

Onyx BOOX has introduced the Leaf2, Nova 5 and Note X2, a trio of E-readers based on Android 11. With the exception of Leaf 2, all support stylus input for drawing and note-taking. Equipped with varying specifications, the trio all converge on the same central use case.

The Onyx BOOX Tab Ultra is a new tablet that doubles as an E-reader. Based on Android 11, the Tab Ultra has a 10.3-inch dispaly, a Snapdragon 662 chipset and stylus support, among other features. The Onyx BOOX Tab Ultra is available for US$599.99, or for US$659.99 with a keyboard cover.

Onyx BOOX has presented the Nova Air2, an Android 11-based tablet with a large E-Ink display. Available to order for US$339.99, the Nova Air2 also has a 2,000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 662 chipset, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

DOOGEE has announced that it will debut its first ever tablet in November 2022. The T10 will start at just under US$120, yet to pack potential advantages such as a USB type-C port for data and charging; support for dual-SIM 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi 5, and expandable memory. On the other hand, it will have an FHD LCD display driven by a bargain-bucket processor from Unisoc.

Redmi has introduced its 2022 budget tablet in its native market of China today (October 27, 2022) alongside the new Note 12 series of smartphones. The metal unibody slate has a 10.6-inch 2K 90Hz display, quad speakers and up-to-date MIUI Pad 13 software, yet will be released for less than US$160 as a special offer for the upcoming 11.11 sales event.

The Information has heard from its sources that Apple is working on a 16-inch iPad. It will be launched sometime in Q4, 2023, presumably with an M2, M2 Pro or M2 Max chip and "Ultra" branding.

By February 2023, Samsung hopes to have distributed One UI 5 to at least 49 smartphones and tablets across its product range. Lamenting Apple’s convoluted iPad ecosystem, industry insider Mark Gurman has suggested in the latest edition of his newsletter that the company was considering launching an affordable iPad model with a plastic back. Gurman believes the ill-fated iPad was Cupertino’s “only real hope” against Chromebooks in schools.

With the Zenbook 17 Fold, Asus has released the first large foldable convertible, which - as it turns out in our review - is a concept that integrates well into practical use. There are of course some technological challenges, but the biggest problem is the high price of 3,499 USD.

Although Lenovo has released quite a few Yoga devices so far, the Yoga Paper lineup is new. This leaked product features an E Ink display and pen support, but there are no details regarding the specs, features, or pricing/availability available yet. Huawei has presented the MatePad C5e globally, a new MatePad SE model aimed at business customers who want a mid-range tablet solution. Equipped with a 10.1-inch display, the MatePad C5e offers a few novel software customisations, as well as a large 5,100 mAh battery.

Apple has announced new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. Now available with the Apple M2, the iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 also have Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, unlike the current MacBook Air.

Juno Tablets has introduced the Juno Tablet, which ships with Linux, an Intel Jasper Lake processor and a 10.1-inch display. Available from £449 with 256 GB of storage, the Juno Tablet also comes in 512 GB and 1 TB flavours, all with 8 GB of RAM.

The first foldable Apple device would be an iPad rather than an iPhone. Market analyst Ben Wood believes that foldable phones would be detrimental for the current premium iPhone lineup. Apple may look to test the waters with a foldable iPad first.

TCL has gone to the Broadband World Forum 2022 to unveil its latest pieces of consumer premises equipment (CPE). The LINKHUB HH512 and HH512L are router-like devices that support potentially multi-gigabit 5G speeds, whereas the new LINKZONE MW513 is more of a MiFi-like device with similar connectivity.

Apple is reportedly looking at hybrid OLED display technology in its quest to further slim the iPad. Apparently, the company is of the opinion that hybrid OLED is a better alternative to flexible OLED owing to lower production costs and also the fact that it does not look crumpled. Apple has also roped Taiwan SMT into its supply chain and is supporting the latter to expand production and undertake SMT process for mini-LED backlighting.

With 27 days left in the campaign, 77 backers, and US$13,872 pledged out of the US$19,574 goal, the UDU CONSOLE can be already considered beyond the "Kickstarter project looking for funding" stage. However, it might take a while for it to hit the market. If everything works as planned, shipments should start in April 2023.
