In a recent performance review comparing Intel's Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200 series laptop processors on Linux and Windows 11, performance on Linux was consistently better across almost all benchmarks. Linux was on average 14% faster, and Blender 3D rendering and heavily multi-threaded workloads saw the biggest performance gap.

The latest Intel Core Ultra 200 Lunar Lake APUs bring the new Arc 130V and 140V iGPUs. Based on the Xe2 architecture, the Arc 140V has proven to be a considerable leap forward over Intel's previous efforts. The iGPU has now been tested in Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing and XeSS enabled and the result is quite impressive.

The Intel Lunar Lake laptops are here, and soon, MSI Claw 8 AI+ will debut as one of the first handhelds with the new Core Ultra 200 series. To see how well it may perform, ETA Prime has put the Core Ultra 7 258V against Ryzen Z1 Exterme in a gaming handheld simulation.

With the launch of the Core Ultra 7 258V, Intel now has the most powerful iGPU in the world in the Arc 140V. According to a gaming test conducted on the chip, the Arc 140V performs impressively well with FSR/XeSS image upscaling. This bodes well for the upcoming Lunar Lake handheld gaming consoles.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 258V has shown up on Blender's benchmark database. It scores 127.69 points in the benchmark, outperforming Apple's M3 and mid-range Ryzen 7000HS CPUs.

A recently uploaded YouTube video portrays the efficiency prowess of a Lunar Lake-equipped Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i 'Aura Edition' laptop. Lasting almost an entire day in the local video playback test, the Yoga laptop leaves the 15-inch M3 MacBook Air in the dust.

X user @GawroskiT seems to have gotten a hold of an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V laptop. The user has compared it against the Ryzen Z1 Extreme, and the Arc 140V of the Lunar Lake CPU appears to have outperformed the Radeon 780M in Ashes of the Singularity benchmark.

Intel's Arc 130V iGPU has shown up on Geekbench alongside the Core Ultra 5 236V. It has a boost clock of 1,850 MHz, 56 compute units and scores 19,889 points in OpenCL.

The Energy Star certification offers some details on the CPU, including core count and RAM, plus some power efficiency specs. This model is expected to launch sometime in September.

Intel Core Ultra 200 series will be officially launched on September 3rd, and it seems Acer will be among the first companies to announce laptops with the new Lunar Lake laptops. The company has confirmed that it will hold the Next@Acer event on September 4th.

GPD has officially showcased its Pocket 4, which will be featuring the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. In the performance comparison section, the company claims that the Radeon 890M of the APU can beat the Arc 140V iGPU of the Core Ultra 7 268V. The good part for Intel is that the Lunar Lake iGPU is shown to be better than the last-gen Radeon 780M.

An unreleased MSI Prestige laptop has debuted on Geekbench with an Intel Core Ultra 5 228V Lunar Lake CPU. It performs on par with other Lunar Lake models and comes with 32 GB RAM.

An unreleased Acer laptop has been listed by an Italian e-commerce website. It comes with a Core Ultra 5 226V CPU, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD and a 14-inch OLED screen.
