Small but so-so. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 is one of the most compact ThinkPads with AMD Ryzen CPUs. Unfortunately, the compact size results in some compromises, which gets obvious when it comes to the CPU performance.

Better in every way, but also more expensive. The new Asus ROG Ally X is the updated version of the ROG Ally and still uses the same AMD processor as well as 7-inch IPS panel, but almost every other aspect has been improved. In addition to improved ergonomics and better joysticks, the gaming handheld benefits from additional memory as well as the larger 80 Wh battery. Powerful build. The Omen 17 shows impressively what a 17-inch gaming laptop can be, offering midrange performance at a stable and high level, while the cooling works at a surprisingly moderate noise level thanks to its successful control implementation. Only some of the allrounder capabilities are slightly left behind.

Marathon runner. The A15 FA507UV has a few goodies on offer you wouldn’t necessarily expect to see in a lower-priced gaming laptop: Ryzen 9 (Zen 4), GeForce RTX 4060, USB 4 and wonderful battery life. This laptop could be yours for around $1,399.

New CPU in a familiar case! The Geekom AE7 mini-PC corresponds to the well-known Intel NUC models, which are now marketed by Asus. An AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS is used as the CPU, which promises a lot thanks to its powerful iGPU. The most important thing, however, is the power available for the CPU, which has a significant impact on performance. In this review, we have put the Geekom AE7 through all the benchmarks and the performance of the mini-PC.

Many ports and good maintenance options. The Schenker VIA 14 Pro has been updated and now comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and a brighter IPS display. The manufacturer has also taken the criticism of the dirt-prone casing to heart and now uses a different coating. The extensive connectivity and the two slots for M.2 SSDs have been retained.

High-end CPU meets mid-range GPU! The Minisforum AtomMan G7 PT impresses with an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX processor and the Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card. With this combination, the compact mini-PC offers first-class performance for demanding applications and gaming, according to the manufacturer. In this review with numerous measurements and benchmarks, we take a closer look at whether the mini-PC can also achieve this in everyday use.

Best mini PC from Beelink to date. The SER8 brings about the biggest redesign we've seen for the SER series. Its new Apple-like appearance definitely exudes professionalism without costing an arm and a leg.

No longer a performance pushover. The Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1 was equipped with Zen 3 Ryzen-U processors and so this year's Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1 refresh was expected to ship with Zen 4 Ryzen-U options. Instead, Dell has thrown us a curve ball with even faster Zen 4 Ryzen-HS options for larger performance gains.

A winning formula. The super-small laptop-gaming hybrid can be very compelling at first glance for travelers or students. In practice, however, it doesn't quite excel at gaming as the ROG Ally or at office work as a dedicated traditional laptop.

Compact powerhouse. The Geekom A-series combines excellent performance with an extremely compact form factor. The manufacturer has already proven that this concept works with the Geekom A7. The Geekom A8 is supposed to offer even more performance and is based on the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS, which sounds very promising. We took a close look at the new flagship and analyzed its performance based on numerous benchmarks.

Matte black Phoenix. We already reviewed the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 G2 with Raptor Lake. Now, the Ryzen variant follows. Since the successor T16 G3 is not going to be available with AMD CPUs, the T16 G2 AMD is still an interesting choice in 2024.

Faster than the newer Ryzen 7 8840HS. If you don't care about AI acceleration, then the Bosgame M1 is one of the fastest mini PCs you can get for the size. It even includes integrated stereo speakers unlike on most others in the category.

OLED with DC dimming. The latest 16-inch Envy gets the x360 treatment to be an effective midrange solution in between the Pavilion x360 15 and Spectre x360 16. It comes in both Intel and AMD variants to satisfy users on both sides of the pond.

Better than Intel? Asus also offers its Zenbook 14 OLED as a cheaper version featuring an AMD Ryzen 8000 processor—that even delivers better performance than the Meteor Lake variant. It does, however, face limitations when it comes to its RAM and its Full HD OLED panel which only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.
