Dell launches new 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch 2-in-1 Inspiron laptops with Intel gen 8 CPUs
All new 2-in-1 models can be powered by either the Intel Core i5-8250U or Core i7-8550U quad-core / eight-thread CPUs and will be available starting October 3. The 13.3-inch Inspiron 5379 has no discrete GPU and can cost as low as US$749.99. The 15.6-inch Inspiron 7570 comes with the older 940 MX GPU from Nevidia and costs as low as US$799. The top of the line Inspiron 7773 features the new Nvidia MX150 GPU and costs as low as US$949.99.
Eurocom says Intel will have an 8C/16T 'enthusiast' consumer CPU by late 2018
A Eurocom company representative has posted on a thread in the NotebookReview forums saying that their Tornado F5 and upcoming Tornado F7 will feature 8C/16T CPUs in the second half of 2018. This could be a high-end revision of 14nm Coffee Lake, or it could be a CPU in the 9th generation 10nm+ Ice Lake family.
