More than a month since Spain received the Dell XPS 15 9570 with Intel Core i9-8950HK under the hood, the US market finally receives this high-end processor as an option for the full HD variant of this performance laptop. Strange enough, the official Dell United States product page seems to be stuck at just a few configurations, although there are quite a few hardware options available to choose from.
Since the launch day until now, the official Dell XPS 15 9570 product page for the US market only had four configurations listed to choose from. However, the US$2,149.99 model that comes with a full HD display, 32 GB of memory, and an Intel Core i7-8750H processor can be configured with a 4K Ultra HD touchscreen and the Intel Core i9-8950HK processor, exactly what the people were asking. One interesting fact is that Dell now provides Windows 10 Home as the default operating system for this machine, so the price of the cheapest model is back at US$999.99.
Now that the XPS 15 9570 has been around for a few months, some people are already thinking about the XPS 15 9580 and the changes that is supposed to bring. Earlier this week, Twitter user Connor asked Frank Azor the following question: "will the 9580 make any big changes or will it just be another internals refresh?" Sadly, the quick reply he got probably killed all his hopes — at least for the time being — "No such product exists at this time" and nothing more.
Although it would be nice to see Dell offering 6 or 7 configurations to choose from directly instead of having to mess with the available options, the addition of the Intel Core i9-8950HK for the full HD variant of this notebook is an excellent decision. Now, remains to see how long will it take for the first XPS 15 9580 rumors to come out. If you have any special expectations regarding the successor of the XPS 15 9570, let us know in the comments.
