A currently unproven rumor on social media has claimed that there will be two starter pack variants of the PlayStation 5, with a premium pack offering a larger capacity SSD than the basic console pack. The same post also includes prices for the two PS5 options, at €499 (US$540) for the basic choice and €599 (US$648) for the premium package.

A price prediction from a noted gaming analyst for the Microsoft Xbox Series X next-gen console could seriously upset the cart for Sony and its PlayStation 5 if it ends up being accurate. Early backers of the GPD Win Max handheld PC during its Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign will be able to secure one of the mini gaming laptops for US$779. Images of the device’s motherboard have just been posted online and somewhat scant updates in regard to the price and campaign release for the handheld computer have also been offered.

Rumour has it that Nintendo is developing two new Switch models, with one having been spotted in new firmware. Previously rumoured to be using a custom NVIDIA Volta GPU, the model is said to be based on the Tegra X1+ instead. The device has a secondary display of sorts too, and may feature alongside a docked-only console codenamed Calcio.

The latest firmware update for the Nintendo Switch (version 10.0.0) brings a bevy of new features, including the ability to completely remap the Joy-Con and Pro controllers and the ability to transfer data (including games) from the Switch's internal storage to an SD card.
