Deal | Sony announces Black Friday 2024 deals on PS5 and accessories with discounts of up to 40%
With Black Friday upon us, it's a pretty good time to be shopping for tech, whether that be a new monitor or a gaming laptop, and it looks like console makers don't want to be left out of the ubiquitous shopping holiday, either.
Sony has announced its Black Friday 2024 gaming deals, confirming up to 40% off on select peripherals and accessories and hinting at a previously leaked discount, which may see the PS5 drop to a whopping $349.99.
"Head over to direct.playstation.com to browse the latest offers and products directly from PlayStation starting November 22. This year’s promotions on direct.playstation.com include PlayStation 5 console offerings."
Sony also confirmed that it will be discounting accessories, like the PS VR2, DualSense Wireless controller, Pulse Elite wireless headset, Pulse Explore wireless earbuds, Console Covers, and a variety of games for PS5, PS4, and PC. So far, Sony has been pretty vague about exact discounts and prices, but there appears to be an incoming 40%-off Black Friday deal on the PS VR2 and up to 25% off controllers and peripherals.
Sony also hinted at a PS5 Black Friday deal, suggesting that it may follow through on a leaked discount that would price the PS5 Slim console at a whopping $379.99. Currently, the PS5 Slim comes in at $449 on Amazon, and dropping the price to $379.99 would put it within spitting distance of the $349.99 Valve Steam Deck, making it a pretty compelling purchase.
