Razer announced a new RGB version of its Barracuda X headset earlier in 2024, although it had heretofore only been available in black. Now, the HyperSpeed Wireless accessory has been released in a different color. It can still connect to and switch between 2 devices at once, and comes with a matching detachable boom mics.

The Barracuda X cross-platform headset was originally pitched as an accessory ideal for both gaming and non-gaming life.

However, its subsequent refresh might be better suited to the former, with the same 40mm TriForce drivers, detachable Razer HyperClear cardioid mic and SmartSwitch Dual Wireless feature as the non-Chroma version, but with earcups updated with active 6-zone RGB.

That new edition was announced in October 2024, although it only came in black and, as such, might not have gone with all gaming set-ups out there, such as those based around a PlayStation 5-series console -  or the BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed White Edition, for that matter.

Now, however, the Barracuda X Chroma White Edition has been made available. It can be ordered for its RRP of $129.99 directly through Razer. Then again, those who want the same headset but can live without the RGB can find it on Amazon for just $69, or 31% off its original list price, right now.
