Razer Viper Mini Signature Edition: an ultra-lightweight yet ultra-low latency new wireless mouse
The Viper Mini Signature Edition is rated to weigh less than 49 grams (g) thanks to a magnesium alloy shell that has gone for the roll-cage approach rather than that of the honeycomb matrix for its "best lightweight performance gaming mouse" bragging rights.
Despite that, it packs a battery rated to last up to 60 hours per charge using Razer's HyperSpeed Wireless technology. It is rated for a polling rate of 1,000Hz - however, the user can turn that up to 8,000Hz by switching the mouse's HyperPolling Wireless on instead (even if that sacrifices an estimated 48 hours of battery life).
It is touted to deliver an input latency of as little as 0.125 milliseconds (ms), or 8 times less than the average wireless mouse - according to Razer, at least.
The Viper Mini Signature Edition is also rated for the same IPS speed and acceleration as the Basilisk V3 35K series thanks to the Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, a substantial upgrade over the pre-existing 8,500 DPI Viper Mini.
The Viper Mini Signature Edition will be available exclusively on razer.com from October 21, 2024 for $299.99. Meanwhile, its predecessor can be ordered on Amazon from now for $79.99.
