Jabra is one of many prominent audio companies at CES this year. It has come to present its new 85h headphones, which, as Jabra claims, can allow playback with active noise-cancelling (ANC) for as long as 32 hours. These new audio devices are also AI-enhanced and support Amazon Alexa for hands-free virtual assistant interactions.

Samsung's Micro LED TVs made another appearance at CES 2019. The technology has come far enough to allow for various display sizes thanks to the modular panels housing the Micro LEDs. Additionally, Samsung is claiming that Micro LED (MLED) displays will have the same deep colors and high contrast of OLED displays without the burn-in worries that come with OLED. Initial impressions for MLED TVs are good, but Samsung says that the technology won't be ready for consumers for several years.

TVs that can curl up and store themselves in a box are becoming a staple of CES. This technology, introduced by its maker LG in 2017, has yet to appear in stores. However, this year, the company has brought them to the event again - as well as the news that they will go on sale in 2019.

The partnership between Microsoft and Kroger, the largest grocery retailer in America comes as a joint effort to bring Retail as a Service to other retailers. The first result of this effort is the pair of connected experience stores that use Kroger Technology products powered by Microsoft Azure.

Although first devices with UFS 3.0 memory onboard should arrive later this year, what appears to be the first benchmark of this new memory standard has surfaced online. According to this benchmark, an unnamed UFS 3.0 solution managed to hit a sequential read speed of over 2,200 MB/s, more than 1,800 MB/s sequential write, and more than 34K IOPS random read/write operations.

The 13.3-inch laptop is 1.6 mm thinner than the 2018 MacBook Air and has a higher 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. D-Link has announced a new product it is calling a 5G-NR broadband gateway (or the DWR-2010) at CES. It is intended to use 5G in order to set up home WiFi networks that, as D-Link claims, deliver download speeds that are over 40 times faster than that of the current average US fixed broadband solution. The 'gateway' is powered by the Qualcomm SDX55 and is sub-6GHz- or mmWave frequency-compatible.

Featuring a generous selection of processor choices from Intel, the Asus ZenBook 14 UX431 integrates the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics adapter without being heavy or bulky. Its specs also include up to 16 GB of memory and 1 TB of internal storage, as well as a quad-speaker Harmon Kardon-certified audio system.

NVIDIA has finally announced its lineup of RTX GPUs for laptops at CES 2019. Coming under the N18 family, these GPUs will be available in both standard and MaxQ variants. The RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 will be coming in a total of three variants each — one standard and two MaxQ variants. NVIDIA said that over 40 notebooks from various OEMs will powered by the new mobile GeForce RTX GPUs and are slated be available starting this January.

The half-metal, half-leather laptop will be getting a second color option and a higher resolution display by the end of this month. Internal specifications are otherwise identical to the SKUs introduced last November. While the 4K UHD panel will cost extra, the new color will still start at $1300 USD.

Apple’s stock price plummeted on the NASDAQ today. The previous close for the Cupertino company stood at US$157.92. Tim Cook has had to start his year by sending an open letter to Apple's investors, telling them the company's revenues for the first fiscal quarter of 2019 had been revised downwards. However, it seems the only difference between the latest addition and the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 590 8GD5 Special Edition is the color. The new version of the GPU comes in a black shroud.

Epic Games is now sitting on US$3 billion in gross profits this year. According to a new article in TechCrunch based on the claims of a 'knowledgeable' source. This level of success is (somewhat obviously) made off the back of Epic's flagship, Fortnite. It is a particularly impressive claim, considering that this title's revenue is largely derived from in-game purchases.

Reuters has reported that President Donald Trump might issue an executive order that would effectively ban US companies from using telecommunications hardware from either Huawei or ZTE. ZTE recently paid a huge fine of US$1.4 billion for not complying with US trade restrictions.

A test feature rolled-out by Instagram has been met with the apparent universal disapproval of the social network’s army of fans.
