Xiaomi's Redmi sub-brand is set to launch its fourth device this year, the Redmi 7, at an event in Beijing on March 18. The budget device will feature a Snapdragon 632, dual rear cameras, and up to 4 GB of RAM.

Over the past week or so, Redmi’s next device, the Redmi 7 has appeared numerous times—on multiple certification websites, and even in a thorough hands-on video last week. Sightings like that usually allude to the device being set to launch soon, and the Redmi 7 is no different, as the company has confirmed that it will be launched on March 18.

Redmi’s General Manager, Lu Weibing, in a post on Weibo, announced that the budget phone will be unveiled at an event in Beijing on the aforementioned day. Interestingly, March 18 has also been thrown around as the launch date of the upcoming Xiaomi Black Shark gaming phone, and there’s a chance we get a number of new devices from Xiaomi’s stables at that event.

The Redmi 7 will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ LCD display, a Snapdragon 632, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of storage, a 3900 mAh battery, a 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera setup, and an 8 MP selfie shooter. Prices are expected to start around US$135.
