Motorola currently has a foldable device in the works for release later this year. It may be called the RAZR, so as to recall the brand's freature phones of old. This take on the foldable is also rumored to look much like one of these iconic handsets: it could have a clamshell design with a second screen on the 'front' when it is closed.
The 'Motorola RAZR 2019' is also linked to a new logo for the product line. It has appeared in a post on SlashLeaks today (March 12, 2019). There is also a short list of what may be the phone's most important details. The leak's contributor, Gourav Timary, has asserted that the 2019 RAZR will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. It may have 4 to 6GB of RAM, and 64 to 128GB in terms of internal storage.
The leak also states that the phone will have a 2,730mAh battery. Its screen may measure 6.20 inches when 'unfolded; an aspect-ratio is not mentioned. It will apparently have a resolution of 876×2142. Timary says that the new RAZR's 2nd display's size is unkonwn, but will have a resolution of 600×800. It may come in white, black or gold color options.
Given that Motorola's first foldable is projected to cost around US$1,500 right now, some may find these specs (particularly the SoC and battery capacity, which are rather limited compared to the Samsung Galaxy Fold or Huawei Mate X) rather underwhelming. However, there is one piece of speculation in the leak that may be more encouraging: the RAZR is said to come with 27-watt 'turbo'-charging out of the box.
