Qualcomm has refreshed its Snapdragon 7c platform aimed at entry-level Windows 10 on ARM PCs and Chromebooks to the Snapdragon 7c Gen 2. Google is a technology giant that has sold products exclusively through its official online stores throughout its history. However, it is now breaking that trend with an imminent brick-and-mortar equivalent, located near its New York headquarters. It is slated to open its doors in the real during the summer of 2021.

LG has reportedly chosen a slightly odd moniker for its next generation of products. It has trademarked the term Plate, and has done so in various different iterations that suggest the new line is to be applied to a range of display panels. There are also hints of a "One Cord OLED", which may or may not be good news for fans of cable management everywhere.

DOOGEE has launched the DG Band, a wearable of the traditional fitness tracker form-factor. It has a 1.05-inch LCD display, which can display data from its sensors for heart-rate, stress and blood-oxygen. It is also rated to track 14 different exercise types, and to last for up to 10 days between charges.

A device-repair YouTuber condemns the US-market version of the iPhone 12 as “almost impossible” to restore independently

The Australian phone-repair vlogger Hugh Jeffreys’ latest video features an iPhone 12 in need of a new display and rear panel. The YouTuber demonstrated that fixing these issues entailed quite a bit of effort, resorting to the use of fancy laser equipment at one point. Furthermore, this US variant has extra parts that makes its dissembly even trickier (and potentially more dangerous) than the average iPhone.

Samsung has just applied to trademark the words "Z Slide" with the EU's intellectual property office (EUIPO). Given the category this new potential product name falls into, it gives the profound impression of belonging to a device with a rollable or slide-out display. It may thus fuel rumors that the OEM is indeed nearly ready to launch just such a cutting-edge phablet.

It has been claimed that the Apple iMac Pro for 2021 will feature a choice of processors that go up to a mighty 32-core option from the Apple Silicon ranks. First AM5 socket details get leaked: AMD consumer solutions switching to LGA

Looking at previous consumer platform sockets, AMD has mostly been sticking with PGA designs. However, according to the latest leaks, AMD is making the jump to LGA with the upcoming Zen 4 CPUs, transfering all pins from the processor to the motherboard socket. AM5 will also feature dual-channel DDR5 support, but will unfortunately remain stuck on PCIe 4.0.
