Samsung has released another Olympics Games Edition smartphone for the Tokyo 2020 games. Last year, the company created the Galaxy S20+ 5G Olympic Games Edition in collaboration with NTT Docomo, a device that the pair cancelled once the IOC postponed last year's games.
The Tokyo 2020 games remain scheduled for this year though, so Samsung and NTT Docomo have released a Galaxy S21 5G Olympic Games Edition smartphone in commemoration. It is unclear if Samsung plans to release the special edition globally, although little separates it from the regular Galaxy S21.
NTT Docomo calls the device's colour 'Phantom Blue', in keeping with Samsung's naming scheme for the Galaxy S21 series. Additionally, the device has the Olympic logo on the back and a corresponding wallpaper, but those appear to be the only changes. The device comes with a Snapdragon 888 SoC too, rather than the Exynos 2100 that the company includes in European Galaxy S21 series devices.
