He had taken over as the chief executive officer (CEO) of MSI in January 2019, having served as the company's head of its desktop division prior to that. Chiang reportedly fell to his untimely demise at the OEM's Taipei headquarters.

Intel has announced the Thunderbolt 4 protocol and new Thunderbolt 4 controllers, which build on the capabilities of Thunderbolt 3 and also form the basis for the USB4 spec. Thunderbolt 4 offers the same throughput as Thunderbolt 3 along with additional platform and security features while also expanding the Thunderbolt dock ecosystem. Intel Tiger Lake Xe Gen12 iGPU in unnamed Lenovo laptop puts up promising show against NVIDIA GeForce MX350 in Geekbench OpenCL test

A Geekbench 4 OpenCL benchmark surfaced last week pitting the Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 against the NVIDIA GeForce MX350. The Gen12 Xe iGPU in Tiger Lake manages to not only put up a convincing performance but also beats the MX350 in the test. We also get to see that the 80 EU Core i5-1135G7 is about 13.5% slower than a Core i7-1165G7 in the same benchmark.

MSI releases its 2020 line of workstations

MSI presents its new notebooks that, while being powerful enough for many enthusiasts and creators, retain decently portable dimensions. The series consists of 15.6- and 17.3-inch machines that feature up to Intel Xeon processors and NVIDIA Quadro GPUs across the board. They are available to buy now from platforms such as Newegg.
