According to the GMK's leaked slides, the first mini PCs powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 7840H and Ryzen 9 7940H APUs should launch in just a few weeks. The spec sheet shows that the Radeon 780M iGPU will benefit from LPDDR5x-7500 RAM in capacities of up to 256 GB. Minisforum, Morefine and Asus are also expected to launch similar configurations in June-July.

If you really want a Ryzen 7000 series laptop, then you'll want to find one with the Ryzen 7 7840H or Ryzen 9 7945HX. The lower-end to midrange options offer very little over the mobile Ryzen 6000 series at best.

AOKZOE has revealed launch pricing for the A1 Pro, as well as when its Indiegogo campaign will commence. The company has shared new videos of the A1 Pro in action too, in which it puts the rumoured AMD Ryzen 7 7840U through its paces.

AYA NEO has announced another pair of gaming handhelds. Billed as the AYA NEO 2S and the AYA NEO GEEK 1S, the pair will rely on new AMD Ryzen 7000 APUs with RDNA 3 iGPUs. The company has also outlined release and shipment details for both devices.

After the release of the RTX 4070, the wait is on for AMD’s mid-range RDNA 3 GPUs. According to a recent video from RedGamingTech, the AMD RX 7800 XT and the RX 7700 XT will both be based on the Navi 32 GPU with performance to rival the RX 6950 XT and the RTX 4060 Ti respectively.

ASUS has now provided more pieces of the ROG Ally puzzle. With AMD having presented the Ryzen Z1 series, ASUS has now outlined additional display details, a release date and has hinted at pricing, among other tidbits.

AMD has lifted the lid on the Ryzen Z1 series, which it intends OEMs to use in gaming handhelds. Available with 4 or 12 Compute Units based on the RDNA 3 architecture, both Ryzen Z1 APUs will also feature Zen 4 CPU cores and should be capable of native 1080p gaming in modern triple-A titles.

Then there is the ASUS ROG Ally, which has been the subject of various leaks since ASUS' first teaser on April 1. Ahead of its apparently imminent release, we round up the details known so far about ASUS' first gaming handheld.

GEEKOM has announced that it has collaborated with Asus on its latest mini-PC. The AS 6 is backed to "outshine" Intel's NUC 13 Pro with a Ryzen 9 6900HX top-end model. It also boasts dual USB4 and dual HDMI 2.1 ports in a MIL-STD-810H-rated chassis and, thus, multiple high-res monitors. The new GEEKOM x Asus AS 6 is available to pre-order from now.

New information about AMD's upcoming mobile APUs have leaked online indicating significant upgrades to CPU and GPU performance. Next gen APUs include Hawk Point and Strix Point for the Premium Mobile segment, Strix Halo that is slated to take on Apple silicon with RTX 4070-class RDNA 3.5 graphics, and Fire Range, which is the purported successor to Dragon Range.

Released back in early November 2020, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X desktop processor now has a US$309 list price on Amazon. Thankfully, the ongoing 50% discount pushes the price of this chip down to a wallet-friendly value of US$153.60, which keeps it relevant in late April 2023. This processor ships with a Wraith Stealth cooler.

GMK is now selling two new mini PCs powered by AMD Ryzen 7 CPUs. The NucBox K1 has an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H, and the NucBox K2 has an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS. Both machines are similar in every other regard.

MINISFORUM has lifted the lid on the B550 Pro, a mini-PC that it will sell under its Uranus series. Like the Elitemini B550 before it, the B550 Pro will feature two PCIe 3.0 slots for GPU, SSD or network card expansion, among other uses. The mini-PC should be powerful too, thanks to support for up to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

Apparently, AYA NEO is set on releasing another new gaming handheld. Launching later this year, the AYA NEO 2S is expected to feature the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, as well as various cooling, battery and speaker improvements. The AYA NEO 2S will do battle with various Ryzen 7 7840U-backed gaming handhelds, including the GPD Win Mini and the ASUS ROG Ally.

The Phawx has revealed new details about the Win Mini, GPD's answer to the upcoming ASUS ROG Ally. Supposedly, the GPD Win Mini will also combine an AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3-based APU with a 120 Hz display but in a more portable form factor. The GPD Win Mini will launch for about as much as the ASUS ROG Ally too, albeit not in its most powerful configuration.

Lenovo sell the ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 AMD as a mobile workstation - yet it is missing many workstation features. This makes it barely any different to the ThinkPad T14 Gen 3. Lenovo should really have a think about which features make the P14s Gen 3 unique.

A new leak has highlighted the custom AMD Ryzen APU that will ship in the upcoming ASUS ROG Ally. While the APU is expected to be based on the Ryzen 7 7840U, ASUS will sell the ROG Ally as featuring the AMD Ryzen Z1 series instead.

AOKZOE is preparing to launch a new powerful 7-inch gaming handheld. Reportedly based on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, the AOKZOE A2 will also feature a 7-inch laminated IPS display and hall effect triggers, among other hardware.

According to new leaks, ASUS has based the ROG Ally on what is expected to become a popular AMD Ryzen APU among gaming handhelds, thanks to Zen 4 CPU cores and an RDNA 3-based iGPU. Seemingly, there could be two ROG Ally models, too.

It appears that AOKZOE is close to releasing the AOKZOE A1 Pro, one of two new gaming handhelds that the company has in the pipeline. The AOKZOE A1 Pro will be the larger of the two, but both are expected to launch with a Zen 4 and RDNA 3-powered AMD Ryzen APU.

Just like the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a 64 MB 3D V-Cache stacked on top of the single CCD bringing the total amount of L3 cache to 96 MB. Per 3DCenter’s launch review roundup, not only does the cheapest Ryzen 7000X3D CPU sip power, the presence of 3D V-Cache propels the Ryzen 7 7800X3D to the top of the gaming charts.

This discounted model also packs 16 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, a quality 16-inch IPS 2560 x 1600 165 Hz display, SD card reader and fingerprint sensor.

Nvidia launches the RTX 4070 with 12 GB VRAM, but AMD does not have the RX 7800 cards ready just yet. As a backup plan, Team Red is now lowering the prices on its high-end RDNA2 cards to match and even sink under the RTX 4070 pricing while offering 16 GB VRAM and a free game.

The Pro W7900 model is based on the same Navi 31 chip equipping the RX 7900 XTX gaming cards, but it comes with 48 GB of GDDR6 ECC VRAM that really come in handy in AI-driven applications. On the other hand, the more affordable Pro W7800 solution offers only 32 GB VRAM and comes with a 256-bit memory bus, which could be indicative of a Navi 32 chip.

The latest version of the a-X2P portable workstation from MediaWorkstations now supports AMD EPYC Genoa procesors with up to 192 Zen 4 cores and twice as many threads. It also features 3 TB of DDR5-4800 RAM, but users can further upgrade to 6 TB, and MediaWorkstations offers configurations with up to two professional GPUs.

The AMD EPYC 9474F server processor has turned up on PassMark and managed to outscore a Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX in the CPU Mark test suite despite having much fewer cores. The EPYC 9474F is part of the Zen 4-based Genoa family whereas the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX featured as part of the Zen 3-based Chagall series.

Introduced on Amazon at the end of last September, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X had an MSRP of US$699 at launch. Still listed by AMD with this price (and out of stock after a recent US$100 discount), this processor is now down from US$799 to US$585.99 on Amazon thanks to a 27% discount.

AMD is not applying any price cuts for the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, unfortunately, even though it is a bit slower overall compared to the new Ryzen 7 7800X3D in games. Nevertheless, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D sees a US$50 reduction, while the Ryzen 9 7950X slips under US$600, and the Ryzen 9 7900X receives the biggest price cut down to US$423.99.

According to new leaks, AOKZOE is preparing to use new AMD Zen 4 APUs in its forthcoming A1 Pro and A2 gaming handhelds. Reportedly even the smaller AOKZOE A2 will utilise the Radeon 780M, an RDNA 3-based iGPU that succeeds the popular Radeon 680M.

References to AMD Ryzen 7040U Series Phoenix Zen 4 APUs surfaced online in what appear to be Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 or IdeaPad 330, and Asus ROG Flow X13 models. Both these laptops are indicated to feature the Ryzen 5 7540U, which is also the first APU to sport the lowest rung RDNA 3 Radeon 740M iGPU.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS integrates the Radeon 680M for light gaming and the 32 GB of RAM recommend this mini PC for content creation tasks. Additionally, the configuration includes a 500 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD and a USB4 connector for external graphics.

This model also packs 8 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 512 GB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD, 5 MP webcam with IR sensor, SD card reader and HP's rechargeable MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen.

New details about the ASUS ROG Ally have been confirmed, just a few days after ASUS started teasing the gaming handheld. The ASUS ROG Ally will combine a 120 Hz display with a Zen 4 and RDNA 3-based custom AMD Ryzen APU, among other features.

AMD launched the “Phoenix-HS” APUs at CES 2023. The APUs are based on Zen 4 CPUs and RDNA 3 iGPUs. AMD will follow the Phoenix-HS APUs with the launch of “Strix Point” APUs next year that will combine a Zen 5 CPU and an RDNA 3+ iGPU. Paul from RedGamingTech has now alleged that the CPU and iGPU on Strix Point APUs will pack up to 16 cores and 16 RDNA 3+ Compute Units respectively.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is up to 31% faster than the Intel Core i9-13900K in AMD's in-house benchmarks. Some of the games tested include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, CS: GO and Far Cry 6. All of the aforementioned tests were performed at 1080p with High settings.

AYA NEO is now selling the AIR Plus, a gaming handheld series that is available with a choice of AMD and Intel processors. All SKUs come with the same 6-inch IPS display, as well as a 46.2 Wh battery, hall-effect joysticks and front-firing speakers, among other features.

AOKZOE has started teasing two new gaming handhelds. Allegedly both equipped with flagship AMD Ryzen 7000 APUs, the AOKZOE A1 Pro and AOKZOE A2 will feature different screen sizes from each other, among other differences.

It seems that ASUS is preparing to release the ROG Ally, a Windows gaming handheld that should be a match for the likes of the GPD Win 4, ONEXPLAYER 2 and the Steam Deck, among others. The device will support ASUS's proprietary ROG XG Mobile eGPU solution and will feature a custom AMD APU with rumoured Zen 3 CPU cores and an RDNA 3-based iGPU.

AMD is scheduled to launch the Ryzen 8000 Zen 5 CPUs in 2024. According to serial leakers Tom from Moore’s Law Is Dead and Paul from RedGamingTech, the Zen 5 CPUs will bring a double-digit IPC uplift, up to 16 cores/32 threads, and will be compatible with the AM5 platform.
