The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT is confirmed to feature 60 CUs and 16 GB of VRAM, according to a now-deleted listing on PowerColor's website. AMD said the graphics card will be launched sometime this quarter.

Now that Nvidia has launched most of its RTX 40 series of graphics cards, gamers are looking forward to what AMD has in store. Initially rumoured to launch sometime in June, the Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT (plus their non-XT variants) are nowhere in sight. AMD recently confirmed that they would arrive "this quarter". Now, PowerColor (via Videocardz) has confirmed some specs of the upper-mid-range Radeon RX 7800 XT.

The RDNA 3 graphics card will feature 16 GB of 18 Gbps VRAM on a 256-bit bus (576 GB/s effective memory bandwidth). Previous leaks said it would feature a Navi32 GPU with 60 CUs with 19.5 Gbps memory. PowerColor pegs the number of CUs at 60 but refuses to elaborate on which GPU it uses.

Lastly, the Radeon RX 7800 XT will have a base/boost clock of 2,210/2,520 MHz. PowerColour recommends users pair an 800 Watt power supply with the graphics card without explicitly stating how much juice it will require. Based on the available information, a 260-300 Watt TGP seems likely.

Extrapolated performance figures suggest the Radeon RX 7800 XT will outperform Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4070 by 14% in rasterization. However, the generation-over-generation improvement is a lot less impressive at 8%. It is rumoured to cost around US$600, which is about as much as its Team Green rival.
