The new Oasis Mk2 is slightly smaller than the original design and also features a quieter pump, more fine tuning controls for the fan curve, better connector placement and more RGB lights.

XMG is introducing an improved Oasis external liquid cooler for its top-of -the-line laptop models. Highlights for the Mk2 version of the Oasis include a revised pump with quieter operation, a few ease of use additions, redesigned chassis featuring more RGB lighting and extended compatibility with last year’s laptops as well as the latest NEO E23 models.

The Oasis Mk2 integrates an enhanced pump that allows for much quieter operation thanks to a minimum operating speed that has been reduced from 60 to 40 percent. More fine tuning is also available for the fan curves and users can turn down the speeds so that the notebook is also significantly quieter in typical gaming scenarios in which the graphics card runs under full load. When the system is idle, the pump and fan on the Oasis switch off automatically and do not start up again until the processor and graphics card are put under greater load.

On the chassis side, XMG managed to reduce the size of the case from 203 x 75 x 186 mm down to 195 x 72 x 166 mm. The window on the unit's rear is larger than before and features additional RGB lighting, making it easier to read the water level. There is also an RGB zone for the fan and all RGB lights along with the fan and pump can be controlled via Bluetooth through the Control Center software. XMG moved all connectors to the rear so the tubes and the now detachable power cable which functions via the laptop power supply unit are close to each other. Borrowing from the NEO E23 design, the connectors now feature magnetic mounting and self-sealing on both the laptop and tube sides.

Another convenient modification included with the Oasis Mk2 is the side panel of the chassis that is now fastened with hexagonal socket screws instead of clips, thus facilitating access to the now tidier interior.

With the availability of the second gen Oasis liquid cooler, XMG is lowering the prices on the original model, which now costs  €149 when selected in the laptop configurator (€179 when purchased separately). The Oasis Mk2 costs €199 when selected in the laptop configurator or €219 when purchased separately.
