Lenovo has presented a new version of the Legion Slim 5, having announced a 16-inch model in March. Now, the company has decided to offer a 14-inch model, a first within its Legion gaming laptop division. According to Lenovo, the 14-inch edition weighs roughly 1.9 kg and is 21 mm thick. Unsurprisingly, the machine is too small to incorporate a number pad.
Still, Lenovo has managed to fit an AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS APU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 operating within a 105 W TGP. Thus, the AD107-based GPU offers 2.37 GHz boost clock speeds, which tie in with 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Additionally, Lenovo equips the Legion Slim 5 with up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.
Moreover, Lenovo installs a 73.6 Wh battery that can go from 0% to 70% in 30 minutes thanks to 140 W USB Type-C charging. Another highlight is the device's OLED display, which spans 14.5-inches across with a 2,880 x 1,800-pixel native resolution. Also, Lenovo states that the panel peaks at 400 nits with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Elsewhere, the Legion Slim 5 14 has two USB Type-A ports, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card reader and a HDMI 2.1 port. Currently, Lenovo expects to start selling its first 14-inch Legion-branded gaming laptop next month. While the company has not revealed full pricing yet, the laptop will start at US$1,439.99 in the US.
