Deal | 2023 ASUS Zenbook 14X with 2.8K OLED display and Core i7-13700H enjoys cool 12.5% off in limited-time offer
If you want to get your hands on a 14-inch OLED laptop with plenty of performance, the 2023 ASUS Zenbook 14X has dropped to US$699.99 in a limited-time deal. The laptop's sales price is US$100 lower than the recent US$799.99 rate and US$200 less than the US$999.99 list price. Per Best Buy, the deal expires on August 19 (via slickdeals).
Hardware-wise, the ASUS Zenbook 14X on sale features a Core i7-13700H CPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, and 512 GB of NVMe storage alongside a 14.5-inch OLED panel. The display boasts a crisp 2.8K resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 120 Hz refresh rate. ASUS claims that the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut and can crank up to 400 nits of average brightness.
Fortunately, ASUS’ claims did hold up, for the most part, in our testing. The OLED panel on our review unit was pre-calibrated and displayed DCI-P3 coverage of 99% with an average brightness of 376 nits.
Furthermore, our review device which was equipped with a 14-core Core i9-13900H performed pretty well with Cinebench R23 Single-Core and Multi-Core scores of 1,934 and 14,950 respectively. The Core i7-13700H inside the SKU on offer is, on average, 14% and 9% slower vs the Core i9-13900H in our Cinebench R23 Multi-Core and Single-Core benchmarks respectively.
Finally, the ASUS Zenbook 14X has excellent battery life considering the hardware it packs. We measured 10 hours of endurance in our WLAN test. Since the Zenbook 14X variant on sale packs a less powerful Core i7-13700H, battery life could be a bit better.
All in all, if you are in need of a high-end 14-inch ultrabook with a stunning display, the ASUS Zenbook 14X should definitely be on your radar.
