Deal | ASUS Vivobook 16X OLED with Core i7-12700H hits all time low at Best Buy after sizeable 33% cut

The ASUS Vivobook 16X has hit US$799.99 at Best Buy representing a US$400 discount on the list price. The tip came to us courtesy of slickdeals where it was also noted that US$799.99 is an all-time low price for the Vivobook 16X.

The defining qualities of the ASUS Vivobook 16X on sale include a 16-inch OLED display, a Core i7-12700H CPU, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512 GB of PCIe Gen 3 storage. The OLED panel boasts 4K resolution, covers an advertised 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut, and has a peak brightness of 550 nits.

Other notable specs of the laptop include a backlit chicklet keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, and a 70 Wh battery.

While we haven’t tested the Vivobook 16X, we did get to put the ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X through its paces. As the Vivobook Pro 16X features an identical 4K OLED panel, the conclusions about the display from our review should serve as a good guide for the Vivobook 16X’s screen.

The display on our Vivobook Pro 16X review unit was fantastic as it covered 100% of the sRGB, of the DCI-P3, and 98% of the AdobeRGB gamut. The panel also boasted 390 nits of average brightness. Overall, the display should serve media watchers and content creators excellently.

Furthermore, based on the Core i7-12700H on offer, the ASUS Vivobook 16X should be plenty fast for day-to-day usage as well as for heavy workloads. In our testing, the Core i7-12700H beats the Ryzen 9 6900HX and almost matches the Core i9-12900H in multi-threaded performance. So, the vast majority of users won’t ideally be left wanting for more performance with the Vivobook 16X.

Long story short, if you are in the market for a laptop with an excellent OLED panel that doesn’t break the bank, the ASUS Vivobook 16X for only US$799.99 should be on your radar.
