Lenovo revealed the updated 14 and 16-inch Yoga 7i laptops in March. The laptops which went up for sale in May 2023 come with Raptor Lake U/P series CPUs and optional OLED panels. The 14-inch Yoga 7i with a Core i7-1355U CPU is now on sale for US$749.99, a discount of US$300 on the US$1,049.99 list price (via slickdeals). According to Honey’s price history tool, the discounted price is the 120-day low rate for the machine.

In terms of specifications, the Yoga 7i features a Core i7-1355U processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and a 71 Wh battery. The panel on the laptop is a 14-inch affair boasting a 2.2K resolution that, according to Lenovo, covers 100% of the sRGB gamut and cranks up to 300 nits brightness.

Moreover, the display is touch-capable and, since the Yoga 7i is 2-in-1, can be rotated 360° to use the notebook as a tablet.

When it comes to potential performance, the Core i7-1355U processor is a 10-core (2 P-cores + 8 E-cores) chip with an up to 5 GHz boost clock. In our testing, the CPU scored 9,076 and 1,790 points in the Cinebench R23 Multi-Core and Single-Core benchmarks. So, the laptop will be able to handle routine/productivity tasks with ease.

Finally, based on our review of the Yoga 7 (16IRL8) with a Core i7-1355U and a 16-inch display, the laptop lasted almost 9.5 hours in our real-world WLAN test. Since the Yoga 7i under discussion packs the same chip and an identical capacity cell, the battery life should also be pretty similar.
