The UMIDIGI X, a phone that its OEM clearly believes offers the feature of an in-display fingerprint scanner in an exceptionally cost-effective way, is now live on AliExpress. However, the phone cannot be actually ordered until August 26th, 2019. It will start at a promotional price of US$179.99, but may revert to $249.99 thereafter.

The Realme 5 series has been released in India, and has been followed closely by the Xiaomi Mi A3 in the same market. It turns out that the Mi A3 and the base model from the new line does indeed have the same processor, although the 5 has quad cameras where the Xiaomi has 3. The latter starts at INR 12,999 (~US$182), whereas the former starts at INR 9,999 ($140).

A device with Redmi branding and the model number M1908C3IC has been certified by the Chinese telecomms authority TENAA. It is believed that this device will be called the 8 on launch. It has dual cameras and 3 RAM SKUs.

Xiaomi has announced that it will launch the Mi A3 as India's next Android One device on August 21, 2019. However, Amazon may have spoiled its reveal by publishing listings for its SKUs ahead of time. They show that these phones will at least start at INR 14,998 (~US$210).
