Samsung has finally released the Galaxy A70s, a phone rumored to be very similar to its A70 fore-runner but with a possibly improved camera. These leaks have largely proven to be accurate: this new phone has a triple rear camera topped with a 64MP ISOCELL GW1 Bright sensor. This new form of CMOS directly replaces a 32MP counterpart from the older phone, whereas the back-up 8+5MP configuration remains the same.
The Galaxy A70s is far from the first device to integrate this camera in 2019. However, the difference here is that this Samsung-made module is now in a phone from the same OEM. It will be interesting to see how it compares to rivals that include the Realme XT and Redmi Note 8 Pro. This new phone also has a style of rear panel in an irregular diamond pattern, to be marketed as 3D Prism Red, White or Black. Otherwise, however, its maker has decided that nothing else is broken about the A70. (buy Samsung Galaxy A70 Unlocked now at Amazon)
Accordingly, its new variant has virtually the same specs, down to its Snapdragon 675 processor, 6.7-inch U-notched AMOLED screen and 4500mAh battery with 25-watt charging. Samsung has also kept the Galaxy A70s' price the same as that of the A70 in India. It will start at INR 28,999 (~US$410) for a 6GB RAM/128GB fixed storage, or INR 30,999 (~$440) for an 8/128GB model. They will be sold on Flipkart, Amazon.in, and Samsung India's online store from September 28, 2019.
