MagyarUpdate | The Black Shark 2 Pro launches in Europe on October 9, 2019
Update: The Black Shark 2 Pro's European sales pages are now live. This Snapdragon 855 Plus gaming phone starts at €599 (~US$678) for an 8GB/128GB unit; alternatively, another €100 (~$100) gets you a maxed-out 12GB/256GB device.
These prices apply regardless of colorway chosen: the buyer can choose between the phone's original Shadow Black and Iceberg Grey options, or go for the more recently-released Gulf Blue. Black Shark also has a range of compatible accessories such as gamepads to offer the EU customer, which start at €19.90.
Xiaomi has announced that it will start selling the Black Shark 2 Pro through its own official channels in Europe on October 9, 2019. This date will see a "special Open Sale Launch Event", during which pricing for this region will presumably be revealed. This device started at the equivalent of US$435 on its initial Chinese release, although this may not translate to its new market.
The Black Shark 2 Pro will become available in its Shadow Black, Iceberg Grey and Gulf Blue colorways in Europe on this date. It will ship with 8 to 12GB in RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage respectively. To briefly recap, this device is a Pro variant of the original Black Shark 2, the only major upgrade in which is the Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.
The 2 Pro's screen has a 60 hertz (Hz) refresh rate, as opposed to the 90Hz option seen in slightly newer 855 Plus phones. Then again, it also has a touch response of up to 240Hz and DC-dimming. The 2 Pro also has up-to-date UFS 3.0 memory. It will be sold in Europe through the website eu.blackshark.com.
