The Black Shark 3 series is thought to be the next upcoming generation of Xiaomi's gaming phones. New tips spilled onto Weibo indicate how the rumored Pro variant may differ from the base model. Apparently, these variations will mainly concern screen size and resolution.

The Black Shark 2 is currently thought to get 2 successors at roughly the same time. According to various leaks, they will be called the 3 and 3 Pro. They may be powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor (whereas the 2 Pro of last year was powered by the Snapdragon 855+). A new leak purports to outline how to tell the 2 new Black Sharks apart.

It asserts that there may be few differences between them, in fact. It states that the Black Shark 3 will have a FHD+ display, whereas the Pro variant will get QHD+. Similarly, the former is apparently to get a 6.67-inch display, whereas the latter is allegedly headed for an almost Huawei Mate 20 X-sized 7.1-inch panel.

The new leak also asserts that both of these screeens will have a 90Hz refresh rate, which might be disappointing as every preceding leak on these upcoming Black Sharks has pointed to 120Hz. However, we may have to wait for these phones' launch event to know for sure.
