The third-generation ThinkVision P27h and P27q professional monitors come with modular flexibility, digital wellness, and sustainability in mind. Both feature a 4-side near edgeless bezel design, QHD resolution, and a one-cable docking solution. They will be available in July, starting at US$499.

The entry-level gaming monitors Lenovo G27qe-20 and G24qe-20 come with a 1 ms MPRT response time, 100 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync and Lenovo Artery support, and more. Both are certified by Eyesafe to provide a superior viewing experience without eye strain or color distortion. They will hit the market in March, starting at US$259.99.

The AMD FreeSync Premium-compatible Lenovo Legion Y25-30 is a 3-side NearEdgeless IPS gaming monitor with a smart variable refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, 1 ms response time (0.5 ms moving picture response time), integrated stereo speakers, a USB hub, and more. It will launch in May, starting at US$339.99.

Acer has unveiled the Predator CG48, an OLED gaming monitor. As its name suggests, the Predator CG48 has a 48-inch panel, making it much larger than most gaming monitors. The Predator CG48 has a 138 Hz refresh rate too, but its high price tag and protracted release date may have some people looking elsewhere.

HP is introducing a new entrant into the Omen gaming monitor lineup with the Omen 27u. The Omen 27u is a 4K gaming monitor that can offer up to 120 Hz refresh rates with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles via HDMI 2.1 and up to 144 Hz when connected to a PC via DisplayPort 1.4. The Omen 27u covers 95% DCI-P3 color gamut and also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

While laptops with 120Hz 4K displays may be few and far between, the CES 2022 expo is showing that this year may turn the tide on high refresh rate 4K monitors, notebooks and TVs. The latest entrants in that trend come in the form of 4K TVs with mini-LED panels by TCL that sport the whopping 144Hz refresh rate.

Dell has unveiled its newest high-end gaming monitor at CES 2022. The Alienware 34 QD OLED has a 175Hz QHD panel, 1800R curvature, Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, and more. Its price will be announced once its launch date approaches in late March 2022.

Samsung will almost certainly have a bevy of new monitors to debut at CES 2022; however, it seems the OEM just couldn't wait to show some of them off ahead of time. They include the latest addition to the Odyssey gaming line, with a "world's-first" 4K/240Hz specs profile. The new S8 and Smart M8 monitors are UHD and come with specific adaptations for their productive use-cases.

LG has introduced its latest form of organic light-emitting diode technology as OLED EX. The OEM claims that this new type of panel incorporates deuterium to further enhance display brightness and performance in the resulting TV screens. OLED EX devices are also projected to be thinner with slimmer bezels compared to current models.

Asus has issued its invitations to its upcoming CES showcase, to start from January 4, 2022. It starts with the "Rise of Gamers" livestream direct from Las Vegas to introduce the new ROG line-up, and goes on with the productivity-focused presentation the following day.

Lenovo has announced three new ThinkVision large format displays (LFDs) ahead of CES 2022 — the ThinkVision T65, ThinkVision T75, and the ThinkVision T86. All three LFDs sport fairly identical specifications including 4K, HDR10 support, plenty of wired and wireless connectivity options, enhanced privacy functions, and detachable 4K camera with AI-assisted voice and facial recognition.

According to new rumours from a typically reliable leaker, Apple is developing three new external monitors in collaboration with LG. The trio will offer up to a 120 Hz refresh rate across 24-inch, 27-inch and 32-inch screen sizes.

BenQ recently launched a new gaming monitor, the Mobiuz EX3210U. The new Mobiuz model is targeted at competitive gamers, with a snappy, 1ms response time and a 144 Hz refresh rate.

According to a report in The Elec, Samsung is planning on launching a raft of MiniLED 8K TVs in 2022, using its "Neo QLED" technology. Samsung's 2022 flagship lineup will also feature new 4K OLED TVs, including some with panels sourced from LG.

The Redmi X75 is the third TV in Xiaomi's Redmi Smart TV X 2022 series. The 75-inch TV has a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 4K native resolution and HDMI 2.1 VRR. FreeSync Premium is supported, too.

Xiaomi has unveiled the TV ES50 2022, a Smart TV with slim bezels and a budget price tag. The TV ES50 2022 also offers 600 nits of peak brightness, MIUI for TV 3.0 software and Dolby Vision support, among other features.

AOC recently announced a high-end 43-in gaming monitor featuring a 144 Hz VA panel, HDR1000 certification, and FreeSync. The G4309VX, unfortunately, seems limited to the Chinese market for now. Furthermore, AOC's yet to offer details about pricing.

Xiaomi has presented the Monitor 27-inch 4K, a high-resolution monitor with PANTONE colour certification. Xiaomi has included dual HDMI 2.1 ports too, along with a USB hub that supports up to 90 W USB Type-C charging.

When is a monitor with a screen measuring less than 20 inches diagonally valued at just under US$15,000? According to Canon, it's when it is the first professional reference display from the brand to feature its exact dimensions at a 4K/UHD resolution. The DP-V1830 can also support a 4-way split-screen, enhanced blacks and improved viewing angles.

Prices for the 34-inch QD-OLEDs will most likely be higher than what LG will charge for the 42-inch OLED TVs, but Samsung's screens will at least offer superior PPI and crisper text through the RGB pixel structure plus increased color volume via the Quantum Dot layer.

The $369 USD NucBox mini PC is a good alternative to the much more expensive Intel NUC models while the $269 to $399 Xpanel portable monitors can offer full sRGB or AdobeRGB coverage depending on the model.

Further details about this monitor are not available, but the promotional material does indicate a curved screen. TCL is expected to launch this monitor in the coming months and also supply this monitor to other OEMs for rebranding.

Students or office workers in need of more screen real estate without breaking the bank will find the 15.6-inch KD3 to be a solid secondary monitor for any laptop or desktop.

The new affordable 1080p OLED Samsung panel is looking to challenge the usual 1080p IPS panels found on nearly all inexpensive laptops over the past few years.

TCL announced a new line of 8K TVs, equipped with its in-house OD Zero technology, in 2021. LG is offering a free pair of its flagship TONE Free TWS earbuds with qualifying OLED TVs during its Black Friday event in the US for the second year running. However, the OEM has also come up with a new promotion by which some audio products, some 2021 wireless speakers included, come with a free XBOOM Go PL5.

ViewSonic has confirmed the pricing and release date of the Elite XG271QG, its long-awaited 240 Hz gaming monitor. The Elite XG271QG has a 27-inch panel, is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified and runs natively at 2.5K.

Xiaomi has presented a new gaming monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate. The XMMNT245HF2 also contains two HDMI 2.1 ports, supports AMD FreeSync Premium and is DisplayHDR 400 certified.

HP has revealed the Omen 27c, a gaming monitor with a 27-inch VA panel. The curved gaming monitor operates natively at QHD, has a 240 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response times, among other features.

Sony has reported total revenues of ~2.4 trillion yen (~US$20.8 billion) for its latest fiscal quarter (the second of 2021, or 2FQ2021). Its gaming arm accounted for nearly 27% of these takings; however, nearly every other area of the company's business, even that of its smartphones, posted year-on-year (YoY) gains.

Samsung has announced the Business-Monitor S9U, which it originally unveiled as the S49A950UIU. The business monitor has a 5K and 120 Hz display measuring 49-inches across for a 32:9 aspect ratio and contains more ports than many modern PCs have. The Business-Monitor S9U will be available from next month for €1,399.

Monitor specialist AOC has expanded its Agon Pro series aimed at competitive gamers. The Agon AG274XM, AG274UXP and AG274QG all offer enticing specifications, although the latter is the only 240 Hz monitor on offer. The new Agon Pro monitors start at €969; only one is orderable this year.

Philips has unveiled the Momentum 279M1RV and Momentum 329M1RV, two gaming monitors that are Xbox certified. Accordingly, the pair run natively at 4K, have HDMI 2.1 ports and 144 Hz refresh rates, among other features.

The lightweight touchscreen provides excellent and accurate colors with full support for active styluses unlike most other portable monitors. Its limited ports and lack of speakers and batteries, however, limit the overall usefulness of the monitor.

Xiaomi has now debuted the next generation of TVs in its Redmi Smart TV X series. The aptly named Redmi Smart TV X (2022) series launched in China yesterday with 4K 120 Hz displays and a compilation of solid hardware. Pricing, however, is a bit tough.

ViewSonic has announced availability of the Elite XG320U gaming monitor that was first revealed back in August. The XG320U is a 32-inch 4K 144 Hz gaming monitor targeted at Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC gamers. The display supports HDMI 2.1, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and a 1 ms MPRT.

Luna Display has added support for using an iPad with a Windows PC. The company originally offered the functionality for Macs and iPads but Apple subsequently ‘sherlocked’ the feature in macOS Catalina with its Sidecar functionality.
