Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 launches for £1,298.99 in the UK with other countries to follow

DisplaySpecifications has discovered retail listings for the Samsung S32GB85, also known as the Odyssey Neo G8. Announced in January at CES 2022, the Odyssey Neo G8 was slated for a European launch in Q2 2022. However, Samsung has not confirmed anything yet, for one reason or another. Still, DisplaySpecifications alleges that the Odyssey Neo G8 will begin shipping from next month, which fits within the company's Q2 2022 estimate.

Supposedly, US retailers have listed the Odyssey Neo G8 for approximately US$1,500. While DisplaySpecifications has not provided any links to these listings, the monitor is already pre-orderable in the UK through Overclockers UK. Currently, the retailer sells the monitor for £1,298.99, including 20% VAT. Unfortunately, Overclockers UK has not confirmed when the Odyssey Neo G8 will begin shipping in the UK.

For reference, the Odyssey Neo G8 is a 32-inch VA monitor with a 1000R curvature. According to Samsung, the Odyssey Neo G8 outputs at 4K and 240 Hz with 2,000 nits of peak brightness thanks to its mini LED dimming zones. Additionally, the monitor is QuantumHDR 2000 certified and offers 1 ms GtG response times. Unsurprisingly, the Odyssey Neo G8 also has two HDMI 2.1 ports, along with a DisplayPort 1.4 connection and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports.
