Huawei MateBook 14 2022: 14-inch laptop announced in two colours with Intel Alder Lake-P processors
Huawei has started selling the MateBook 14 2022, a 14-inch laptop powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors. As its name suggests, the MateBook 14 2022 has a 14-inch display. Like the MateBook 16s, the MateBook 14 2022 has a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 90% screen-to-body ratio, albeit with a 2,160 x 1,440-pixel panel. Also, the IPS panel promises 300 nits of peak brightness, 100% sRGB colour space coverage and a 1,500:1 contrast ratio.
Available in two colour options, the MateBook 14 2022 has a 56 Wh battery that it can recharge at 65 W via its USB Type-C port. Incidentally, all configurations measure 307.5 x 223.8 x 15.9 mm and weigh 1.49 kg. As Huawei's marketing images show, the MateBook 14 2022 features two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, along with single HDMI and 3.5 mm connections. Moreover, Huawei has equipped the laptop with a fingerprint reader integrated within the laptop's power button.
For reference, all MateBook 14 2022 configurations come with 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. However, the laptop starts at CNY 6,099 (~US$917) with a Core i5-1240P and rises to CNY 6,999 (~US$1,052) if you want a Core i7-1260P instead. While both configurations are already orderable, it remains to be seen when Huawei will offer the MateBook 14 2022 outside its home market.
