Deal | Insanely large Innocn 40-inch WQHD 40C1R gaming monitor now on sale for $450 USD
Chinese manufacturer Innocn recently impressed us with its portable 15.6-inch OLED monitor back in April. Now, this same maker has begun shipping a massive 40-inch ultrawide 21:9 gaming monitor for a relatively inexpensive sale price of $450 USD. The native resolution of 3440 x 1440 offers a respectable PPI of 93 which is nearly the same as a 24-inch 1080p monitor.
The monitor checks off a decent list of features that gamers will appreciate including a fast 144 Hz native refresh rate, FreeSync compatibility, and optimization for current gen consoles. It even promises 95 percent DCI-P3 coverage to be fit for graphic artists and HDR400 compatibility for better media playback.
Interestingly, it's what the manufacturer isn't listing that has our attention. The product page makes no mention of the black-white or gray-gray response times of the panel which has us concerned about noticeable ghosting. All gaming monitors must have both fast refresh rates and fast response times for smoother and streak-free gameplay especially for fast-moving titles like Overwatch or Valorant.
We'll reserve judgment until we can test one out firsthand. Expect a review on the 40-inch Innocn in the weeks ahead.
